Rock Central Servers down for two days?

OK, so when I first played the game after the midnight release everything was connected and working and I was ranked as I played etc. Now after work yesterday and still tonight my 360 says attemptng to connect to Rock Central servers. Is this just me, or others seeing this too?

Can't connect here on PS3 at the moment. I did finally get one online match going for a few songs before the other players dropped though.

Indeed same thing here. Its 9pm now and still nothing. It connected fine the morning it came out, on the 26th but it died soon after. its been over 24hrs and still cannot connect. I also cant find much about it. I would think if this was a big deal there would be alot more threads and people talking about it. I guess it must be limited to a small number of people.

I dont have a clue if its on my side or if its Rock Band 3 thing.

Same here, its fine in the morning and then dies as people start to get home. Says that they grossly underestimated the hardware they would need, or simply tried to skimp and play it cheap.

You can try port forwarding on your router, but it's probably not going to help. I'm sure that's what HMX would suggest you try, ensure that your network is working.

Mine is, and I still couldn't connect, then when I did, got kicked after 2 minutes.

Glad to hear that I was not the only one not connecting in RB3. Thanks for the info.

Might as well forward those ports, thanks for the suggestion - never had issues with RB2 though.

Edit: Does the PS3 grab a static IP every time? I guess I could assign it one.

It's been a while since I had to mess with my PS3 network settings, but I think I remember that you can set it up with a static IP. I know I did it in my router, because I keep my DHCP range very small in my router and I don't like random leases lying around.

I saw the same thing. I'll guess that there is either a problem between XBL and RB3 servers, or RB3 servers are just so overloaded with everyone playing and trying to get RB2 songs imported. Either way, let's give it some time to even out and hope it clears up fast. Gonna need to have this cleared up in time for the inevitable patch to fix the myriad of issues people have reported.
