Everything is Sony's fault. EVERYTHING. The economy? That's Sony. Lebron ditching Cleveland? SONY. The existence of Jersey Shore? SONY.

Just wanted to make sure that was clear.

Basically, it's all Sony's fault. They have submission limits or something.
You clearly didn't bother to read the original post. I'm guessing this is your default response to grumbling PS3 users and that you copy and paste it from somewhere every time you open a thread which 0.001 seconds of reading indicates is another generic woe-is-us thread.

It's Sony's fault that he didn't read the first post.

I don't think sales are the only criterion. There are a few songs on PS3 that only have about 200-300 scores logged, or even fewer, on the 360.

I don't know if it's storage space as much as it would be the amount of effort it would take to keep up with the RBN releases on the 360. The RBN goes through XNA, which basically rolls out content as soon as its ready. HMX just goes "Alrighty, go!" and the song is available.

But for Sony and Nintendo, the songs have no way of automating the cert process, so the songs would have to be submitted the brute force way as with the normal DLC. And since there could be potentially 30-40 songs a week, if not more depending on how things go, it'd be very tricky to keep from having RB content clogging up the cert process and slowing down releases for other games.

That's one reason why the 30 days are imposed on the content in the first place. HMX needs time to assess the sales of a song, get it created, and finally submit it to Sony's cert process. That can't (and won't) be done overnight.

    Wow, that looks really cool.

I can't wait to see what Mr. Fauxharmonic guy and the other RBN authors can do once they add keyboard support to RBN.

There's also a lesser-discussed flaw in the system, is three different set-ups.

How do authors author and test three different formats for each console from one console? How much time does it take to convert? How do you find errors? How do you get it so everything is peer-reviewed on each console at the same time?

You're the only one who wins a cookie so far Josh. I want everyone to download that song so that HMX has no choice but to port it over. Besides, it looks like a pretty fun song, so you're welcome for that. :-P

OK...now that the groveling is out of the way...if I don't see "Epic Symphony in A Flat Minor, First Movement: Marching Out" by Van Friscia on PS3 in 30 days time, I will find you. That song is freaking epic and at over 6 minutes long for a $1 song, there's no excuse not to get it. That song looks AMAZING to play, so get it done 360 people.

Also, if you get a chance, I'm still waiting on those Paul Henry and the Fauxharmonic Orchestra tracks over here. Download those too or feel my wrath as a lowly PS3 user.
