    Rock Band 3 MIDI PRO-ADAPTER

Why would I want this or what's it's use and benefits?

Is it if I wanted to connect the keyboard, guitar, etc, to a computer, I could play it that way?

I'm just getting back into the Rock Band groove and learning about all the new stuff coming out so I apologize if this has been asked a million times.

You NEED the MIDI Pro adapter to play your real MIDI keyboard and drums on the game, you also need it to play the upcoming Fender Squire guitar that is being released.

If you are getting the official RB keyboard, either the one sold in a bundle with the game or separate, you don't need this. The MIDI adapter is for a few things:

    - If you want to play a MIDI keyboard that you may already have with Rock Band.
    - If you want to use an electronic drum set with Rock Band.
    - If you want to buy the special RB pro guitars.
    Insert signature here.

Actually, it's only the Squier that requires it. The Mustang will work without it.

Ok, so if I don't already own MIDI keyboard and drums (or don't plan to) then I wouldn't need it. But, if I were to get this guitar- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-190-_-Product,

then I would need to get this adapter?

No, that is the Mustang guitar that doesn't need the PRO adapter.
This guitar however, you will need it: http://cdn.slashgear.com/wp-content/...6248855218.jpg

Since this thread covers my topic as well, can i use any MIDI Keyboard, or does it need to be 2 octave. my sister has a full size one she woulden't mind me annexing, and i could use the extra $40 i would save on DLC
    Expert/Hard Guitar (80/20)
    Expert/Hard Bass (90/10)
    Hard/Medium drums (60/40)
    Medium/easy vocals (50/50)

It can be full size, but only two of the octaves would be used, if you can live with that.
