Lightbulb pro guitar tracks in online play

1st of all sorry for starting a new topic, but I didn't find a specific post with this topic within an hour of searching.

    Following setup:
    - My wife (singing), myself (playing pro guitar) both located in germany on the same PS3 console.
    - Another friend based in Switzerland playing pro drums.
    - Another friend based in France joining in playing bass or singing

Problem is, that I for sure have no interest in playing the five button plastic guitar. But since the sharing-with-friends-policy had been changed last year, we can only play all the nice songs we bought pro tracks for with either one of our friends but not with both of them at the same time.

I know that this is maybe only affecting a small portion of all RB-Players, for us it is a major issue and a royal pain in the ass, if you allow me to use such rude words.

Is there any chance you gonna re-change the sharing-policy to have us play the nice pro-guitar content with our friends (they dont have use for the pro guitar track but still have to buy it!). That would be the easiest solution for us, cause the technical problems as displayed in this thread: http://www.rockband.com/forums/showt...=1#post4291658 are quite clear.

Please, help us! It was difficult enough to get my hands on a RB-Squire in germany, as I had to import it form the US. It would be a blast if you anyhow could help us, play together without buying the pro guitar track 2 times all the time. Its not like we are millionaires :-/

thx and keep up the great work!
    cheers,
    steve

Lots of people have complained about this. but at this point in the lifetime of RB it doesn't seem like they're going to change it.

Bringing out a patch costs over $40.000, and that's just the money they have to pay to Microsoft/sony. add in development, testing etc. etc. and it becomes a lot more.

looking at how old this game is there's pretty much 0 chance that we'll get another patch.
my love is like a candle, if you forget me, i will burn your damn house down.

Still we should not get tired of letting the developers know, besides giving them a cheer and a two thumbs up. I had been in the gameindustry myself and know how exhaustive and difficult that job can be.

Comment, if you have the same problem and would like to see it fixed. thx.

It's not a problem when it was intended that way. I myself am a pro bassist, and yes, I really hate the fact that everyone must buy pro upgrades, but they work like DLC, it was intended to be this way from the start. It won't never change, even if I, or any pro guitartists/bassists want it to change. Sad story.

I for one feel that the policy(?) worked greatly towards the detriment of PRO guitar/bass.

Many players love to point out that hardly anyone plays pro strings, but I think that no small amount of blame for that can be attributed to when they "patched" this "feature".
