Exclamation RB3 Request A Feature, Bug Report and Suggestion Thread (No Song Requests)

In an effort to corral the incoming bombardment of threads, here is a thread where people can report any issues they've come across within the game as well as any suggestions for change. Please remember to be polite and informative in your criticism or problem reporting - it's much more effective than angry demands.

When posting information about a bug, glitch etc., try to include as much detail as possible - the more descriptive the easier an issue is to replicate.

Here are some suggestions for information to include:
    • System the game was played on.
    • Song(s) where the problem occurred.
    • Gameplay mode.
    • Other possible need-to-know/useful information.

How bout we make this the one?

    System: Xbox 360

The only problem with RB3 I have is after you get the Jet and then go to pick a song the engine noise is amazingly annoying. I have to mute my TV to pick a song (we like to have the TV up, like HMX says, turn it up to 11)

Other than that I'm completely satisfyed with RB3, this is the greatest game of all time.

    Done.

The most obvious bug/glitch I've noticed is what I call the "Rhythm Mic"™. For some reason when the mic is shown in the stand it will sometimes either occasionally or quite frequently pulsate, bounce, move, or even shoot into the singers head. It seems to do this in rhythm to the beat (almost as if it's following the bass drum).

    Here are the details:
    - PS3 version
    - All songs were played in Quickplay (I haven't played any other mode yet)
    - Played solo on Expert Guitar & then Expert Drums
    - Songs in order, where I noticed this:
    New Order (happened very frequently)
Burning Down the House (only saw it happen once)
    Touch Me (occasionally)
Riders on the Storm (half-way through the song)
Our Lips are Sealed (occurred after the drum break)
    All Mixed Up (occasionally).
Similarly I've seen the bass guitar do the same thing. It seems to stutter or twitch - separating itself from the character model and back to normal very quickly. I've only noticed it occurring on the body of the bass though - so the fretboard and hand animations are unaffected. Very strange and somewhat creepy.

Wow, I came in here primarily to post the same thing. Ever since I first noticed it, I can't stop seeing it, and it seems to happen on all songs at random times. Mic and guitar body jumping positions like crazy.

It's not a huge deal in terms of gameplay I guess, but it's so annoying once you notice it because then it's like all I see when it happens and it puts a huge damper on the experience. I'd love this to be fixed in a patch.

Other things I noticed were trouble activating vocal overdrive and the drummer looking like he was having a near seizure at the end of one song. I wish I could remember which one song.

Also, there's one venue shot I've seen several times that shows from far behind the crowd. I've only played small indoor venues so far, and that shot creates a lot of graphical glitches with rendering the audience properly.

As for feature requests, drop-in/drop-out gameplay without pausing the game is a must. It is not at all a smooth feature currently, as it disrupts the flow of gameplay each time someone wants to join in or stop playing. Yes, it's still loads better than the old way of waiting for a song to end, however, there's a lot of room for improvement here.

I've seen this problem too on PS3, but it happens almost everytime I start playing the game (for the first few songs) and it happens to the mic, bass and guitar in the game. I haven't seen anything wrong with the drums. No matter what the song, it would usually start "shaking" in the middle and continue towards the end. But there have been times it just never happened. It's weird...

When selecting songs in quickplay, there is a very loud and irritating background noise (sounds like a car idling or something like that). It's to the point that I have to mute the game when picking a song because it's that loud. I think it's actually louder then the music you hear when you previewing a song choice to pick for play. None of the settings in the audio options turns down this awful noise either.

    Please please please patch this!

Overdrive on vocals not deploying. PS3. Couldn't trigger it at ALL!!!. Tried playing with the mic sensitivity. Pitch correction on and off. Volume up, volume down, to no avail. Have the issue using a stock Rock Band 1 mic. Also a modded Sennheiser mic normally used for Rock Band, AND also a pair of sing-star mics that we use for back-up vocals on The Beatles. In short, nothing we did, made it work, and changing the hardware didn't make it work. There's a bug in there somewhere.

Have not tried using it Solo. We were in a "Normal" group setting (Bass, guitar, singer. No Drummer, keyboards, or back-up vocals)

I will try it solo and see if its any different. I'm not holding my breath. I've seen way too many complaints about this, and I'm sure more than a few had the issue while flying solo.

Basically my "complaint" as well. I like having a plane, I mean, who doesn't, but can we do some sound engineering in the thing? Some anti-sound would help :P

I love the game otherwise Brilliant songs and great new features, especially switching instruments. Awesome!
