RB needs this. I have like 1000 songs and can't remember which ones are easy or hard. Just present the difficulty of the next song of the setlist that is to be played. Knowing the average or maximum difficulty of a set is useless information when you can change you difficulty setting between songs.

Also, allow the player to view his scores (like the leaderboard screen you can access from the song selection menu) while on the instrument/difficulty selection screen. When playing random songs, backing out takes you to the random song selector function, not the random song that was just selected that you're about to play, so viewing your scores for that song becomes a PITA (back out, find song, view scores). It's necessary because my previous scores on any given song are a much more accurate indicator of it's difficulty (to me) than the RB star difficulty ranking, and because it seems like a stupid thing not to have.

Played RB2 last night for the first time in a long time. Outside that damn shaky arrow it was SO nice to be able to sing quietly and have the game register. That mic-sensitivity and each song remembering your settings is dearly missed! Please bring it back. Please bring back the game remembering your settings too. Such an annoying thing in RB3 to NOT be able to turn down the volume of all mics if doing harmony. We don't need to hear our voices over the TV, thanks.

I'd like to report a major bug in "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. I have downloaded it recently on Rock Band 3 and I have noticed that the entire song is played on crash (green cymbal), instead of hi-hat (yellow cymbal) - WTF?! :P I'm sure it's supposed to be played other way around, as you can watch Steve Smith playing the hi-hat to this song on any youtube videos. It's a great song, but playing it on the green cymbal is extremely uncomfortable!

Charting it right (open-handed) would make it pretty hard to play on basic drums without cymbals.

But, they charted one of the Phoenix songs with open hands later on.

Can we also dial down the hyperbole? 'Major' implies game-breaking. Like a crash or something. Charting 'mistakes' aren't major unless they're just absolutely wrong.

Well, I wouldn't complain if there were just few mixed up notes - that doesn't bother me at all. But I believe that the song needs to be recharted for Pro Drums when 95% (or more) of the song IS played wrong! I'm sorry if I seem to exaggerate but, as being a huge fan of Journey, I consider this a major bug The song is awesome and it would be neat to play it as it was meant to be played

It is not set in stone that the yellow drum gem must always be used for hi hat. It just has to be consistent throughout the song. Beyond that, you'll just have to deal with it because it is intentional and not a bug.

The green has been used as a secondary or remote hi-hat in some other songs as well, if I remember correctly (Song 2 maybe?). Keeping time on the hi-hat with the left hand is kind of rare, so I understand the choice of moving it to green and keeping the toms as the usually are.

He's kind of right. "1901" is also played with the left hand doing the hi-hat, and that's charted to red and disco-flipped for pro. That said, "Don't Stop Believing" is perfectly playable as it is, and has been for about three years.
