    Avatar design:

Please allow the shade of the eyebrows and hair to be able to match. Also, please lower the height of eyebrows. Currently it's very similar to a 2x4 in shape and height and in no way natural.

Sideburns..... please make them actually look like they are a part of the hairstyle/face and not spirit gummed catapillars.

Can someone please tell me if Harmonix know about this or if they have stated that it will be fixed in the near future?

Re: skyp1e & GNF about an online DLC filter

Problems can be solved with a little ingenuity. The game engine obviously knows which songs are shared by all players by the time you've finished connecting, so the question then becomes a matter of presentation.

An online-only filter would work. Have it not apply when you're by yourself (RB3 already auto-recalculates songs-in-common when players are added or drop out, so this should be a non-issue). As soon as you turn the filter on, have the game warn you that common songs in multiplayer will disappear from your setlist (or be grayed out and skipped over for selection, RB1-style), and if the filter can be saved, then just have it warn you when you start the game that the filter is on, much like how the All Instruments Mode warning automagically pops up if you've got more than 2 keys/guitar controllers connected to your console when signing in.

    ---

Since I'm thinking about it right now, the DLC scanning procedure in Rock Band is pretty horrid (esp. on PS3). Starting up the game takes a very long time when you have a lot of DLC (can take upwards of 2 minutes) because the game wants to look at every single song you have on the hard drive, and that happens even when you want to do something innocuous like calibration. Buying a song from the Music Store triggers ANOTHER scan. This is an extremely user-unfriendly way to convince people to use the Music Store, and makes RB3 a pain to set up for at parties because it adds extra setup time.

Out of curiosity, can the problem be described in words?

It's probable that your local game engine does not know which songs everyone has when connected, grivad & myself theorised on that in this thread: http://www.rockband.com/forums/showt...207195&page=13

That is pretty shocking and really needs to be fixed.

This is what it looks like to me; If you have 2 yellow cymbals and then a blue in a very small timespan, then you can hit the yellow cymbal once and then the blue instead of yellow-yellow-blue.

It's somehow related to the hitting window:-
Yellow handler: "Hey I got hit"
Engine: It's in window, now what's next?
Blue handler: "Hey I got hit"
Engine: It's in window, now what's next?
But the engine then does not check for the 2nd yellow that did not get hit after it's window expired.

Nope - "Head Like A Hole" does this with only yellow hi-hats.

Most of my non-aesthetic complaints can be summed up like so:

If I suck, don't rub it in my face. If I do well, don't try to diminish my achievement.

This goes for all other games (looking at a certain arcade racing game whose training mode spat in your face if you didn't do well)

...hang on, maybe the former is why they used the percentile system, but it did cause the latter.

GNF, if you're about to snark my post, I should say that your avatar is the best one you've had in quite a while, so snark away even harder.

I haven't seen this suggested in a while, and now with Blitz coming out, perhaps another approach might be good.

Rock Band Jukebox. Supports all of our DLC but is a separate title, not a patch. I for one would pay at least $15 for such a thing on my XBOX.

$20 if my RB3 band would play the songs in performance mode.

For me that would only be valuable if it could play in the background and take the place of the music track in other games.

Actually, you can kind of do this now. Just use a game pad to start up a playlist in solo vocal mode, with no-fail turned on and the audience muted. You even get to watch your band's stage performance and you don't even have to plug in a mic. Didn't instrument controllers use to have a "performance mode" modifier to turn off display of the charts? That'd be even better.
