RB2 songs didn't export to Lego (though that was because they all defaulted to SR instead of FF).

They should fix that. Before you object, remember that I am the one who also hates the generic Rock genre and wants all of the alternative/indie/new wave/punk removed from Rock.

Kinda too late for Lego, but a good idea - "We Got The Beat" sounds pretty family friendly to me.

My final position on the Trainer Angry Flames: Tone down the animation and I can live with it.

    - Remove the "percentage jumps up and blows up to fifty times its size" effect
    - Shorten the animation to about one second instead of five and have the "flames" dissipate more quickly
    - Have the percentage turn gray afterwards
    - Possibly do this for every mistake

That way, it's still more noticeable than the old throbbing without being obnoxious.

Actually, there are 2 reasons they don't export into lego.

    1) When Lego was current, there was no RB2 export.

    2) When RB2 did export, they exported into RB3's DLC area.

The SR rating didn't hurt, but even if they were all FF (What kid doesn't want to play Colony of Birchmen?) they wouldn't work for technical reasons.

I do agree that all of RB2 shouldn't be SR, but I sadly think that ship has sailed.

Harmonix continue to defend the removal of score duel despite how many people complain, they're not going to spend much development time "fixing" things that literally one person has ever complained about.

If there was a hundred headaches instead of one 100 dollar one, then maybe these issues would see the light, but most likely not even then.

I've seen other complaints, by people who started threads saying, "I just bought RB3--what happened to score duel???" It may not have been sufficiently popular to warrant the code space and effort to maintain it, but there's more than one person who misses it.

Have you noticed that I offered a compromise to the Angry Flames?

The fail-out screen should be changed to GH3-style (able to pause while you fail out, not full-screen), though. I remember my 5-star run of Raining Blood in GH3:

    Fail in "Mosh 1"
    Pause and restart
    Repeat a dozen times
    Finally nail it

It would have been much worse if I had to roast in the Angry Flames for even a few seconds each time.

Together, you are right. That's the problem. Harmonix won't see the light.

They could earn easy brownie points by admitting that some of their decisions were wrong.

John Drake has been rubbing me the wrong way with his position on some of the complaints (paraphrased):
    - You're going to become a multi-instrumentalist, so what's wrong with having your characters be multi-instrumentalists at our demand? (wonky stand-in system that isn't obvious for a newcomer)
    - You can't play that well on all the instruments? You're not good enough for that jacket. (clothing behind instrument goals)

You also have another point: I need to rally more people for the cause. Sometime in 2013, the Headache Syndicate (that just rolls off the tongue) would show up (maybe at a public expo) and confront Harmonix about their mistakes.

Maybe it will have to be a dance-off.

Again, I complain about Rock Band because I truly love it and it hurts me to see it in this state of potential unrealized.

How are they supposed to see anything without the flames?

    Simple. I've got the flashlight.

If you believe HMX (which I do in this case, they can track this stuff), it's quite possible everyone who actively used score duel has complained about it. It was an unused mode for most of the people.
