I'm not sure about the issue with individual scores... RB3 always tracks individual scores for folks who are signed in. You get a band score, and your own score goes towards your career goals and rankings etc... I'm on the xbox, but I assume this is the way it works across the board since it's the basis for the goals system.
Basically every single time you play something gets counted towards only one profile. Some people like to keep their own progress separate (I was in this boat). Individual bands allowed this. Multiple bands for multiple purposes. One band for solo stuff, one for friends, one specifically for online friends. Each was different and progressed at different speeds depending on participants. Now its all one and the same no matter what you do, no choice in getting away from said profile......ever. Kinda sucks for those that enjoyed being multi purpose.

Bringing back the option to have a band NOT tied to a profile (aka RB2's multiple bands) would be really nice. Doesn't hurt those that like things in one spot all the time and it offers more options to those that like different ways to track progress. Why they thought the mandatory single band thing was superior to having player choice, who knows.

Ah, I see. I've never thought to use more than my one profile for scoring purposes - I don't play in multiple 'bands' though, so that's probably why.

It took me long enough to get my goals/scores on one profile, so I'm actually happy that my band, and online performances pull back to the same individual scores for my purposes

That part is okay. But hard to enjoy when thats the ONLY option now available Sometimes I know things aren't going to go well if I go online, I don't want to use my primary playing band and not be able to get rid of some nasty scores on my own later on (I'm not much of a score monger but I can't handle seeing 2-3 stars since people didn't know how to play). So I'd like to be able to do that without switching profiles, would rather just pick another band file.

Any word on a new update to the game? Things that could be fixed:
    -Individual Breakneck Speed
-While online, a player that leaves speeds up everyone's tracks
-While online, a player that leaves causes (in front of your track) huge words to say he left
-While online, a player leaves and it totally cuts out his instrument for the rest of the setlist.
-The Jet noise on the choose song screen: Seriously, an easy and quick fix...
-Less "Music Video" backgrounds. Whereas in previous Rock Band's, this was uncommon, and "neat". Now it happens so often, it's rather annoying.

These all happened in various songs on the 360. All the ones online were on XBL, various songs, different people.

I believe that it's been stated that there are no further planned updates and definitely not to revise or add features. I can see where they might do it for a major bug, but with hundreds of thousands of people banging on this for ten months, no such new bug is likely to be found.

How about the old one? The XMB crash that some people have 3-4 times a night. Pope made a thread on it a while ago, but hasn't responded for months.

I agree--that sounds like something they should fix.

Every time I see the suggestion to tone down the frequency of the music video venues, I gotta agree!

I personally have serious visual issues with them. Not only are they tacky and headache inducing in general, I can't see my play track ESPECIALLY if overdrive is in play (vocals). A true eye strain.

Best solution next time, have a check box option for Music Video's On[] Off[]

They are especially horrendous online when a group picks large number of songs, the video venue comes up...and then you're stuck for a long time, or you bail. With local friends we won't watch them ever. The moment that countdown comes up, we release a colletive groan, cursewords, back out and try again until its a regular performance. Nobody likes looking at it, just too rough on the eyes. The RB2 shoots were cool and infrquent as mentioned, RB3....an added unnecessary evil.

Or they can use the elaborate effects they used to for videos, a lot of them were pretty cool and not seizure inducing, and ditch that Winamp-y stuff going on in the background now called a music video. Some of them were pretty neat and trippy, but in a good way. Hate to see the idea go away, even if I didn't like this particular go around's execution. Wouldn't want to NEVER see videos again or having how it is NOW be the fix.

The RB2 videos had to be specifically authored for each song that used it, which is out of the question when All Instrument Mode dictates that a video is required for every single song in the game.
