I might be the only person who feels this way, but I think it would be really cool to be able to post your custom characters online using the game to upload pictures or however!

It would be a really fun way to show people what you've created using the game's tools!

[And while I'M not interested, maybe it'd be cool for there to be a way for other people to download them. Maybe you guys can even create custom characters of celebrities or whoever to sell for interested parties to purchase]

    RB3 Gameplay Data Obliterated

Xbox 360 Slim 250gb Hard Drive Disaster; HDD replaced, DLC re-downloaded and gameplay resumed. With that short description of what happened and the solution, here's the problem. My Total scores for Band and specific instrument are NOT changing anymore regardless of the amount of new (never before played by me) DLC. It's as if the old scores (prior to hdd failure) are frozen in time until the new HDD "catches up" to the old scores. Can this be corrected? If so, how? If not, why not when the server would have all of the data and simply need to add the scores together to post the "current" score?
    Please advise.

A newest song "filter" wouldn't make any sense, nor would a few other sorts (keyoard part, family friendly, maybe harmonies). But it would be nice to have a "5, 4, 3, 2, and 1" lighter filter. Would have made the "Hide 1 lighter songs" patch not that exciting. Also, filtering by leaderboard position doesn't make much sense either.

Personally, I wish you could separate plays by instrument, so you could see how many times you've played a song on any/every instrument.

Yeah, the celebrity likeness thing was what got GH in trouble multiple times. Witness Kurt Cobain doing "YMCA". But, if in addition to making it so that you'd have to buy the likenesses, they'd be limited to their own songs, maybe that wouldn't be so hard to swallow. Maybe have them come with partially pre-defined routines for their own songs based on maybe the music video or a live performance, if it would allow for a non-standard lineup (lead+rhythm guitar, vocals+instrument characters / three-piece bands).

I'm told (by SirDavidTLynch if I remember right) that they ditched the attitude system because people complained that their characters were rocking out too hard to soft songs. I wonder what they think of the new system, which makes the characters limp along like a wussy indie rocker to anything that is not metal or grunge (and not even some of the metal is safe - play "Rainbow in the Dark" in RB3 and watch the singer put on what could possibly be the limpest metal performance ever).

I personally think they made RB3 animations like they are because they didn't have time to make four sets of keys animations as well as interactions for a five-member band.
We've ended on a sour note:

    Still...thank you for the music

    Suggestion

I don't know if this is the place for this, but I have a suggestion. In the next Rock Band title, maybe adding a realism mode, in example, having to balance a budget for gas, instruments, and so on and so forth. Just more realistic, I think. It just seems after I get done with all the venues and places, I have alot of money left over, and I think "What am I to do with all of this?" Also, if they could warm up before a show, ect. Just struggles a band has to go through to their rise of fame. Fun little things that people could do on their own before a next gig. Also, if there could be some sort of Garage Band sort of thing where bands could actually MAKE their own songs, and play them, if wanted. I don't know if this technology is way out of our league, but I just would like the feel of that. I mean keep the tour mode, but make an "advanced option" that would ya know, turn realism on. And to address one more issue, maybe adding more of "the crowd" because most of the people in the crowd look the some. That's my suggestion, I don't know if it would be possible, but I sure hope it would be.
