cymbal glitch...
Alesis DM10 with extra tom and cymbal
DLC:
[X] Sum 41
[ ] Moar Mutemath
[ ] Moar Dream Theater
Wow, that glitch explains that hihat section of Head Like a Hole that I managed to keep a combo.
What system were you playing that song on? And what song is it? I'd like to see if I'm able to replicate the glitch on my yamaha drumkit to eliminate the possibility of the drumkit being the culprit. And to satisfy my curiosity.
As an aside, I came across a cymbal glitch where a simultaneous hit of the blue/yellow cymbal on a stock kit with the expansion would not register. You would have to hit one of them slightly early to register. I came across this glitch when playing a Linkin Park song. I never bothered to pursue this glitch though.
"No Regrets" also has a section with the hi-hats that let you do that.
It's the engine. I experience this with the regular drum controller and the cymbals.
...that's what I've been saying about the game for a very long time. It truly is a 100% 'social solo' game (yeah apparently they go hand in hand).... so why HMX would take that route is a bit bizzare. Forget the unity, it's all about the solo player. Makes for more boring experience.

Chk it out HMX!
To all of those talking about removing the approximation lanes, remember that HOPO chords were similarly broken when they first came out. Many players (myself included) just strummed those. Did they ditch them? No, they fixed them, and they work as intended now.
just tried that on "stache" -phish right now, cant believe that actually worksnow i can finally get through the ending without people laughing at me
(stache ending is pretty much the same speed as that constant motion part, but has 2 yellow cymbal, 1 blue so the glitch does actually only do it when you need it and not hit blue twice as well)
my love is like a candle, if you forget me, i will burn your damn house down.
