So you are telling me they spent $40k just to add a Mad Catz logo to the startup of the game? I doubt that. Plus it is just another Source. Shouldn't it just display automatically if its available on the hard drive?

I thought Harmonix was more forward thinking than that.

A peek into my RB dreamlist:

Simon and Garfunkel: "A Hazy Shade of Winter"
    Icehouse: "Icehouse"
    The Spinners: "Spaceballs"

That patch also removed the MTV and EA logos and added the 1-lighter filter (and no doubt fixed some bugs). Why is it so hard to believe that charge?

Also since their contract was up with MTV Games and those guys and they had a new publisher they probably needed to change it. Also was that TU5? Because TU5 stopped people from using customs and DLC that was downloaded illegally.

It also resurrected Black Hole Sun and Dani California, and fixed the Caprici di Diablo bug.

Plus a bunch of "boring legal stuff" that was never specified.

Okay, the rounding up was a stupid idea.

But as it is, a 3.9 is just as bad as a 3.0 - that 0.9 star is worthless. The quarter stars would reflect the work we put into to progress past that previous star.

Also, remember RB2 star battles. They worked as I described.

Sustain-heavy songs are pretty unforgiving on keys, because it is easier to hit a clam and break combo than it is on guitar. Maybe we should be able to jump back into the sustaining chord after a bum note.

Sure. But now I request they round up at X.8 because if I had got just a bit more, they would have rounded me up.

Now I request it for X.7.

    Ok, now X.6.

Suddenly, my idea of shutting you up by making all your songs five-stars is the only way the game works under your idea.

Until you place higher than everyone who had X.8. And until you have a drive to be better instead of a drive to come on the internet and demand the game act like you're better.

Deal with it. Songs with less notes are more unforgiving. Any instrument with sustains is harder if it's mostly those. It's almost like some stuff works better than others 4,000 songs in.

Tiers are made to be tiers. There's a cutoff score for a reason. If you change a 3.9 to round up to 4, then you've just moved where a 4 is.

Ultimately, you're asking for the game to be easier.

I am having a real hard time here trying to figure something out. I thought this thread was meant to allow for a discussion of feature suggestions and bug reports. Not come up with excuses for why they would not create a patch.

My comment was partially sarcastic, but since you bring it up, it proves they have produced feature patches that provide similar functionality, filtering. Why would it be such a stretch to say they would add the ability to filter by RB Blitz in the next patch, which I am also sure they would group together a number of bug fixes as well, to make it worth it. Most all software development works like this.

No one is disputing the cost here, especially not me. I just came to the forum, found the feature request thread, and made a request, that is all. I think it would be a nice feature to be able to filter the 25 songs that are in RB Blitz so I don't have to go on a scavenger hunt when I want to play them.

If you don't agree with that, fine, but what is the point in saying they will never do anything like that because it costs XYZ for a patch?
