The RB3 fan system relies on accomplishing specific tasks. Blitz cred is nothing more than playing the game a lot, initially to unlock stuff but quickly getting to the point where it serves no purpose.

No purpose? It's an ever-increasing integer, as long as you keep playing. If that doesn't motivate you, then what?!

"Legacy" has always struck me as a bad word for it. Makes it sound like it's an old fashion way to play that's been left in for its few fans instead of the mode that the vast majority of players use. As H$H points out, it's not at all applicable to keys, since the basic mode of play was introduced at the same time as the pro mode.

Transfer between systems ps3 and xbox and nintendo

Blitz came along and isn't what rockband 3 pro guitar brought to guitar gaming.
I am surprised that music transfer between games RB3 and Blitz was allowed before transfer between systems XBOX , PS3 , Wii , to RB3 to RB3 just on a different system.
Owned music transfer was an issue back before RB3 and wasn't fixed. Now that new systems are coming out and we are buying so much music , we are heavily invested in one brand and the other brand might be what our new freinds on the forum are buying. Some of the forum people do play together.
The issue of families splitting up purchased songs when the kids go to college is an issue too.
Codec , a usb key into the donggle , please come up with some idea for us.
Chord numbering and breakneck speed made me play better.

A system-to-system transfer or compatibility WOULD REQUIRE WARRING COMPANIES TO AGREE ON SOMETHING. Seriously, how the hell do you even think this is a possibility?

An ever-increasing integer makes more sense than an almost-arbitrary one. The goals/fans system could have just as easily been done with goals alone.

Thank you! (especially for putting it better than I could) I'm not alone in being bugged by the use of "legacy".
We've ended on a sour note:

    Still...thank you for the music

Blitz and RB3 are games published by the same company and DLC is already on that console.

Cross-console compatable DLC isn't going to happen. What incentive does Microsoft have in letting you port over your Wii DLC? Since they would get no money (and they get a cut of all DLC) for a large chunk of DLC.

It's not happening. It's not like the music is in some generic format like an MP3 (where it wouldn't be an issue), it's console specific.

Would love a rythm guitar option as well as lead

No, you wouldn't. Look up More Than a Feeling on Rocksmith. Tell me that's more exciting than the Rock Band version, and THEN you can ask for rhythm/lead split.

Not really a request, just noting that I downloaded the digital version of RB3 today and its so nice. Rapid loading and no eternal diskspin noise. Now if I could silence the xbox fan (case mod search ON), it'd be wonderous.
