Use the orange cymbal, it worked for me after I searched the internet for having the same problem! Hope you have one!

While I was sad to see Anyway You Want It and the Harmonix tracks disappear from Rock Band 3 (I played Night Lies and Get Clean a lot), one major issue I do have with the game is the updated fretboard. Like others have said, it's too transparent and with all the heavy strobe effects (which were not a problem in Rock Band 2) it can be really difficult to see the notes sometimes. Also is it just my imagination or is Breakneck Speed slower than Rock Band 2?
My other minor complaints pertain to practice mode. For starters, for those of us who prefer breakneck speed, it's annoying to go into practice mode and struggle with the notes being so close together as breakneck speed is disabled. Also, why remove the 60% and 50% speed settings? If anything, I would have added a couple slower speeds. It certainly would make learning something difficult like Constant Motion's solo more manageable.
If it hasn't been reported yet getting vocals into overdrive is next to impossible on the 360 version and I have tried multiple type of mikes from wired usb RB1 to wireless microsoft mikes. both the lips style and the one with control buttons on it. How did the game get released with such a serious flaw in it?
Suggestion:
The list jumping feature for different categories(ie: different band names by letter, different genres/years etc) using the Guitar has changed from the Yellow button in RB2 to the Orange button in RB3. I find this very awkward. It is one of the most used buttons when navigating through songs yet it is the last one on the neck. Oddly, for the drums and vocals, the buttons used to do this have not changed(hold down kick pedal or press R1).
Can we have an option to swap functions of the Yellow(currently set as more info) and Orange buttons when sorting or maybe change these around. It just makes more sense to have the lesser used button at the bottom in my opinion.

I was just talking to my mom about Pro Keys, and we figured this might be a good idea to try and incorporate. Since the trainer teaches us scales, giving us an idea of how different key signatures within a song are meant to be played, it would be helpful if different key signatures could be charted into a song.
The way I could see this being done is similar to the way Pro Guitar has chord names along the left side of the note highway. A running key signature would remain along the left hand side, and should the song ever change key signatures, it would come down the left side just as the chord names do for Pro Guitar, maybe bumping out the current key signature once it transitions.
I know this might be difficult to include in all current Pro Keys songs, as it would probably mean going back and revising a lot of what has been done, but if it were to appear in future DLC, I definitely wouldn't complain.
Side note: I think it's awesome that I can have these conversations with both of my parents, so thank you Harmonix!
I would just like to mention that these slow downs are not limited to the PS3. Watch a few youtube videos (which are mostly 360) and you can see the same frame-rate dive. I've done some testing and it's venue related. The slow downs don't seem to happen during the music video venue and on rb1/2 and DLC tracks.
-system PLAYSTATION 3
-when a player leaves the band or someone wants to join, it will give you a notification IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN.
what if i'm trying to go for an FC and then I get that stupid little pop up and it ruins my streak? it shouldn't take up the whole highway that messes people up. it should be at the top or on the corner or something.
-also mic sensitivity options are much needed.
I think it would be nice to have a way to sort and look at all the songs I've already purchased. That way if my hard drive ends up ever needing to be reformatted it will be much easier to go back and re-download all the songs I've purchased.
Two more suggestions regarding % complete on the quickplay list:
1) I love how this is shown now. Great idea! How about expanding it to 2 decimals? There's ambiguity with whole numbers, especially at 99%. Scoring 99.94% is a LOT different than scoring 99.04%.
2) There should definitely be a distinction between 100% and 100% FC.
