On mine under those settings and such I've only found the "Lego Rock Band Export License Pack" (56KB)

If I go to "Settings->Account->Download History" I can find "Lego Rock Band Export Pack" listed twice one after the other; the first is 1.28 GB and the second is 108 KB. I assume that the first is the song pack itself and the second is the license. (I see the same two items when I look at my purchase history at Xbox.com, but unlike other things there I'm not offered the option of placing either in my download queue). Is this what you see? So when you ask it to download the 1.28 GB one it tells you somehow that you need to buy the license again?

no. it lets me download it just fine, but when I go to export it from the disc itself, it acts like I haven't bought it yet. *shrug*

If you have both the license file and the song pack on your disc, you shouldn't need to do anything more than that. The process for exporting from the disc is to enter the code from your booklet into a form on this site, which e-mails you a redemption code. Enter that redemption code in the right place and it downloads the license file. Then you use the music store in LRB to buy and download the export song pack. But if you have both the song pack and license file on your disc, you have everything that you need; if you run RB2 or RB3 (on the machine where you bought the export or while logged into the account under which you bought it) you should see the Lego songs in your library.

But I don't and that's the problem. I should buy a camcorder to show a video of my problem. That might help more. I'll have to call my friend for it though.

This just happened to me....It actually was a gift from a friend who lives in an other State. Pretty much, I have to buy a whole new game?

    If he exported it, yes.

    They are very inexpensive.

Wow. I remember buying Lego RockBand. I remember being excited to export it to RB3. I remember following the directions on the inside insert, and getting the dreaded "this code has already been redeemed" message...on the first attempt of redeeming my code I waited for a final resolution, I just started playing the game by itself until I got tired of the limited number of songs then headed back to my RB3 disc to play a more varied playlist.

Then I wasn't able to play for a very long time. Last week...I picked up my drumsticks and wanted to play some of the songs I remembered from L:RB along side some of the songs from Green Day, and RB3. Annnnnnd then I remembered I never saw what the resolution to the problem was. I tried putting my code in again to the site, and it still told me it was already redeemed. I looked through my XBOX Settings> Account > Download History, and the Settings that show everything related to L:RB. I don't have any "Lego Rock Band Export Pack" that shows up, all I have is "Saved Game" etc.

Am I just screwed at this point? In order to pay to export the songs of the game I purchased at retail price, way over a year ago, am I going to have to buy a new copy of the disc I already have? Another $20 for the disc again and $10 more to export. Le sigh.

I'll just keep whining here for a minute, please excuse me.

Its hard enough to pull the trigger on finding/buying NEW RB1/2 for XBOX again. I started out with PS3 and bought all the games, a TON of DLC, exported all I could. I was frustrated with the lack of RBDLC so I bit the bullet, went out and bought an XBOX360 and RB3 and started the process of buying all the DLC I already had..again. Being a cheap bastard..this hurt. I figured I'd be able to track down the discs new somewhere in state, Alaska...hahahah right. Amazon seems to be the only place left that offers these games New, and I'm leery that they are legitimately new. Whats the point of buying used disc's if the redeem codes are all used up, right?

Anyway. The whole weekly DLC dying thing got me upset and nostalgic. I had followed releases religiously but just not a lot that was released made me want to go out and buy it. Now I'm trying to consolidate all that I've already bought and am finding..it's harder to give people my money than I expected it to be.
