Bought Lego RB and RB1 today for the express purpose of importing into RB3.
RB1 worked fine, after buying the license via Playstation Store.
LRB.. not so much. Have e-mailed in a photo of my receipt and code; hopefully something positive comes back!

Well since this has been going on since Wensday I would have hoped that they would have worked it out by now ... I would have hoped that an issue this big, potentially affecting thousands of customers would have been a major priority. However, at this rate I'll be happy if it gets resolved before Thanksgiving.

Don't get me wrong, I have faith in the HMX guys ... what I don't have faith in is the WB side of the equation. Personally I suspect that what you have over there is an attitude of 'we got our money from the sale what do we care if you can't export it to Rock Band 3 ... waaah waaaah cry more.'

(yes, I know that part (or all) of the fee for the export goes to WB for the licensing, but companies like WB have a tendency to over look that aspect of things when dealing with customers and focus on the fact that you're trying to play songs from 'their' game in 'the other guy's' game.)

Actually what I suspect is going on is that they had NO clue that a year old game would suddenly generate a crap ton of support calls and since that is where these calls were initially directed they were forced to read off an old script. Before RB3's release I am sure 99% of these same emails were from people that bought the game used and tried to redeem the code and so they send this stock response out and know most people will just go away. Since the customer support people are rated on their ability to quickly respond to and close calls most likely these get quick initial responses because they were easy closes until a week ago.

Here is the latest update I have received from support:

"This occurs when you have actually successfully redeemed the code, but because of issues with the browser, such as using ad-blocking software that blocks the display of the code or generates an error that the code is invalid, or an issue with the website, the code is not displayed.

Please send us a scan of your purchase receipt and code sheet so we can look up your code. NOTE: A purchase receipt is required as used or rented copies are NOT eligible for a code.

Also please note in your reply what platform this was for (PS3 or Xbox 360)"

I did just purchase the game a week or so ago just to export into RB3. I emailed a copy of my receipt and song export code. I will update you all when they send me my xbox 360 song export redeem code.

over in another thread (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showt...work-%28/page4) they offically responded... lets see what that means

Hi guys, we had some issues with the tool I use to get your codes for you (surprise! I *am* redemption@rockband.com), but it will be fixed today and I will start sending out your tokens. We really appreciate your patience and I promise you that if you emailed redemption@rockband.com, you will get your token soon.

Just got my email back claiming: I successfully redeemed my code but my browser (Google Chrome) was ad-blocking. This big old company has web designs that are only compatible with IE? Geez I learned this is my Web Design I class to make sure the site is compatible with the popular browsers.

I'm still waiting for a reply to either of my emails sent ~24hours ago.
