Wheatus had the permission we did the work then EMI **** canned it.

After leaving the American extreme power metallers CELLADOR, former lead guitarist Bill Hudson teamed up with up-and-coming Florida-based shredder John Slaughter and set out to do just that; to create a band that combined the catchiness of European melodic metal like Iron Maiden and Helloween with the technique and aggression of thrash and death metal like Death, Testament, and early Sepultura.

Coldera truly embodies the ultimate extreme-melodic metal line-up, bringing together world-class talent from around the globe. Finding a singer who could handle the range of COLDERA 's music was tricky, but Carlos Zema (ex-OUTWORLD) more than handles the demanding vocal work. Drummer Adam Sagan, known for his amazing drumming work with Canadian progressive metallers INTO ETERNITY, brings a dizzying array of styles and influences to COLDERA's sound. Completing this rhythm section tour-de-force is UK-based bassist Adrian Lambert, known for his exceptional work with power metal legends DRAGONFORCE, as well as the schizophrenic, genre-defying maniacs BIOMECHANICAL
