New band heading into testing!
Hailing from Detroit, a city that has all but collapsed due to the economy, Active Rock quartet The Product are poised to give back to their community and fans in 2011. Their debut EP, Break The Silence, was self-released in 2009 and generated an instant buzz throughout the Midwest. Relentless touring and creative online marketing resulted in selling over 4,000 units, being named AlternativeAddiction.com’s #1 unsigned artist of the year, an iTunes feature, radio airplay, and their latest single “Make Your Move” is the theme song for TNA Wrestling: Final Resolution. Despite these early accolades, with an average age of only 22, the band continues to push forward; the work ethic is in their blood.
“Detroit is the best city to prepare you for the music lifestyle,” says vocalist B.J. Perry. “It’s hard, cold, and unforgiving. But, if you are lucky enough to get this city behind you, nothing and no one can stop you.” The band aims to reinvigorate Detroit back to “Detroit Rock City.”
In order to help their ailing city, the band has partnered with the Detroit chapter of Habitat For Humanity and will donate an entire month’s worth of sales of their single, “Make Your Move”, directly to the cause because they believe that everyone deserves a chance to make their dreams come true.
In the coming months they will be recording their follow up EP with producer Greg Archilla (The Veer Union, Framing Hanley, SafetySuit, Collective Soul,). Between a strong local following, radio support all over the Midwest and a commitment to make a difference in their community, this young band will continue to make moves throughout 2011.
Will you please release 2x Bass Pedal versions of the upcoming Deadlock and Mastodon songs? That would be so awesome!
