RB3 Petition: Remove/Increase Character Limit

First and foremost, I understand that Harmonix passes along threads and concerns and are more active than we may think time to time. While I also understand that this topic isn't potentially game-breaking, it is an issue that has been discussed before RB3 came out and a decent chunk of the community would agree that this should be updated. Now onto the actual topic itself. This has to deal with the character creation and even though this isn't a controversial or game-breaking issue, this is enough in my opinion to be updated with a simple patch. The issue I'm talking about of course is the surprisingly low character limit in the game. You can only create ten characters per band, and for us PS3 users who don't have the ability to sign on under multiple profiles like the 360 users can, we would like the character limit to be upgraded universally cross-platform. Rock Band 2 had a 24 character limit which was more than enough for most people, and we'd like to see at least the same 24 limit, or maybe even a rounder number like 30 or 40. Even IF that isn't possible, why not let us be able to delete the pre-made rockers in place of our own? And a requirement for that would be to create at least 4 characters? We'd much rather prefer an increase in numbers though.

You may think no-one needs more than ten characters and for one person that makes their real life counterpart only, sure. However I feel that you are leaving out a part of the community that enjoys sitting down for a few hours and making characters like myself. It's a shame that you spend hours making 10 detailed avatars and then you have to delete them just to make a new one. People like to make their personal friends, video game characters, movie stars, real life rock band members, their favorite super heros, their girlfriends, their boyfriends, their children, heck even fictional cartoon characters for laughs.

Why fix what isn't really broken? From what I see, there wasn't a reason why the character limit should have been decreased. So if you agree with this post and would like to see the character limit increase, or be removed, feel free to express opinions and sign. If you disagree, that is fine as well. Hopefully if enough people request this, HMX will invest their time into making this happen. Thanks for reading.

I'll sign. Even on 360 where you can create multiple profiles, you have to go through the grind of replaying the goal for every extra profile that needs that article of clothing, right?

Not a fan of this new limit myself. I'd be happy with 20, but 10 is a bit weak, especially since there is only one band per profile.

I've only made 4 characters for my band I don't see myself making any more than that. Maybe a few for some friends, which would probably put me at like 9 or 10. I see why some people want more characters, but I would prefer that HMX spent their time working on the freezing and other actual bugs.

In RB2, the character limit was 24.

I re-create real life rock bands, and like to mix and match band members to create Fantasy All-Star Bands (think Jimi Hendrix, John Entwistle, John Bonham and Elvis Presley in a jam session). In RB2, I could do this, by making up to 6 4-piece bands at a time. In RB3, I can make 2 and a half, tops.




*Definitely* sign me up for this here petition. Give us back the 24 limit, at least.

In RB2 I used all 24 spaces. Some rockers, some metal, some goth to change the look of the band according to the music I was playing or my mood. I also made some recreations of my music heroes.

20 would be ok. The more the better. I have all ready made 8 in RB3 and I haven't started recreating some of my old favorites yet. I love this feature of the game. Don't remove stuff that works. Like wardrobes that remember the colors I've previously chosen for different items.
