Sonos' link seems pretty informative enough. But basically it helps suck up a lot of the particles that gets stuck in your car's clearcoat to help prevent it from ruining the paintjob in the long run. And I don't care what that article says, I still think it helps keep the swirl-marks down (not remove them but helps prevent more). I use the liquid kind though.. much quicker and easier to use.

It's funny how I don't have a car nor a driver's license though I'm very well lectured by my roomie on how to properly wash her car. xD It's black so... it's very important to keep it looking tops. Why spend so much money on something only to let it go to look like crap.
