Holy crap! Worked for me too but I had to do it twice. In case it actually makes a difference... The first time when the achievement didn't pop for me I didn't wait for the opening cutscene to finish (I hit start to skip it). After it didn't work I completed the whole series of steps again but this time I waited for the opening cutscene to complete before hitting start to continue and signing in via the Rock Band "Sign In" option. Achievement unlocked. Thanks Judahin and Kerwyn2112 and good luck to everyone else.

Judahin might have unintentionally stumbled onto a fix, but I’m not sure if I can confirm it. I’ve been having the same problem as everybody. Linked, no achievement. Unlinked, relinked, tried hitting start button at menu, no achievement. Cleared cache, did all the tricks everyone posted in here and still no achievement.

However, after reading judahin’s post, I figured why not try what he posted. I will post exactly what I did:
1. While in game, I unlinked my account.
2. Dashboarded and signed out, while signed out re-linked my account.
3. Booted game –WHILE- signed out.
4. Pressed start to get into game, then signed in using the in-game context option. (I did not use the guide button to sign in)
5. The moment I signed in, I got the achievement.

I certainly hope this helps someone. This has been driving me insane since the moment I found out the achievement was glitched, and I certainly hope this can help some of you out of this annoying problem.

*sarcasm* By the way, great job EA/Harmonix. Way to stand behind your game and provide fixes to serious known problems. I have a huuuuuuge amount of respect for you now. *sarcasm*

When I got the achievement, I had skipped the cutscene. But knowing EA's glitchy games, it wouldn't surprise me to know that the cutscene itself can give the achievement even more issues than it already has. -.-

I might be jumping the boat, but I think we found our fix! =D If anyone tries this solution and it doesn't work, please post something. I have two other friends who have the game and I'm going to check with them to see if this solution works for them too.

Good to know Kerwyn2112. After my post I also remembered that I went further into the game screens before unlinked the 2nd (successful) time. I went to quick play and the song selection screen before starting the steps at unlink. The first time I just unlinked as soon as I signed in I think. It still may have been just a glitchy thing that it didn't work the first time for me though...

Thank you! I have been annoyed with the messed up gamerscore for ages without any help from harmonix and if you are reading this Harmonix i'm never buying anything from you again. I'm just glad I picked this up for free at blockbuster -__-

Odd glitch on this achievement. I connected my xbox tag to the website for RB2 and never reconnected for RB3.
About a month ago I had this achievement pop up. I've had the game since launch. Thought it was pretty funny

I actually got this accidentally on my PS3 a few weeks ago. No idea what I did or why it worked now and not when I linked the game in october, but worked anyways.
