Best Options For Playing RB1?

On Wii what can I even use equipment-wise? It's unbelievable that jerks are chargins $300+ for guitars, drums, etc... from RB1. That makes me wonder will RB2 or RB3 equipment even work on the original RB! It must not or why would anyone be dumb enough to pay double or triple for older equipment?

Pretty annoying that I would have to pay tons of money to even play RB1 all because HMX is too cheap to get RB exporting allowed on wii to solve this entire problem.

Also even for RB3 is there NO cheapish drums I can buy??? I have crappy GHWT drums and I see the RB3 drums are well over $100 which is too much for what you're getting!

Don't assume it's a money thing for why RB1 export for Wii doesn't exist.

If you can find RB2 drums, they're the same as the RB3 drums, just without the cymbals.

Actually, the RB3 drums are the same as the RB2 drums. Cymbals are an add-on.

I'll look, but it seems like people are charging stupid prices for old equipment. Plus I need to know whether or not they will for sure work with RB on wii since they were made at a later date.

All RB standard equipment works with RB`1 on the Wii. No other stuff does. RB2 and 3 support just about everything, with RB3 being the only support for keyboards and any pro-guitar equipment.

Any logitech based USB mic works, this is the only Wii specific limit.

That list isn't accurate. It says all GH guitars work with RB on Wi. That's incorrect. I wonder which guitars really do work with it. I can't assume all RB guitars will. In fact it even says the RB3 guitar won't work with past RB games! And it doesn't list RB3 drums as an option on the list at all.

Pretty pathetic that to play a game that's 3 or 4 years old I would have to pay more than it costs to get a whole RB3 set of equipment. heck i could buy RB3 pro equipment for less than the older equipment and then it wont work with the old games.

Buy the Beatles value edition. It's all RB1 stuff in it. It's also only 50 bucks this week at future shop and best buy, in Canada.

You're right, that isn't correct.

As someone who's owned the Wii RB1, I'm telling you all RB branded equipment works on the Wii RB1 that you'd expect to (IE< non-pro non-keyboard)

That said, it's not like they could patch RB1, so you can only use what you can use.
