lol, this feels like watching an NBA or NHL 1st round pick. I'm dying to hear who is the most likely candidate for purchasing HMX.
    Need these added:

    Less Than Jake/Rehasher DLC
    NOFX DLC
    Boys Night Out DLC
    Leftöver Crack/Choking Victim DLC
    More ADTR, BFMV, BTBAM DLC

If Activision does purchase Harmonix you'll see Rock Band as the dominate and only music game on the market, strengththgngenening it for every single person invested into the genre.
While that sounds awesome on paper, it won't be in reality.

We thought it would be awesome.

Don't forget about Power Gig, competition is ripe.

Harmonix doesn't strike me as the company to rest on their laurels and probably doesn't need competition to breed innovation. I kind of think I'm done caring though about this post and the results until there is fact. While speculation is fun, it's just that.

Noooo! Please never make that happen. I love HMX games but I don't love anything enough for me to switch to 360 and purchase a lot of instruments and all the dlc I've alreay bought.

Of course money talks better than anything and there are a good half dozen firms with the expertise and resources to make a move.
I was thinking along those lines of Microsoft making the purchase. They can surely afford it plus HMX's newest game is only available on Xbox. So if MS buys them it wouldn't be a surprise really.

The rage from Wii and PS3 owners would be unreal.

    I think we'd be a little justified.

While I would like Microsoft to buy the franchise, I highly doubt it will happen.

You're not going to like this - but Activision will most likely buy HMX and merge the two franchises. They won't merge - rather Guitar Hero will go away. This is obvious because Activision has said Neversoft isn't going to be making anymore GH games.

So I guess this explains why there's been a lack of communication/support for the Lego Rock Band Export tokens. Everyone in the office is touching cloth about whether their job is still intact.

Hopefully HMX doesn't sell its soul. It would be a shame for it all to end.
