Wouldn't it be a lovely world, just knowing that Carson Daly held that much sway with the likes of Viacom and or MTV? Just sayin... I'm with Quastor in that no matter how it goes down, Harmonix should stay on with RB, for when they were split from the GH, that was a huge hot mess for Red Octane. Well, I'm glad with the announcement on the final split from Viacom, Harmonix isn't parting out the RB support just yet.

    That would be sad.

Unless they start churning out multiple games per year (i.e. Guitar Hero), then the best way for them to make money is through DLC. This should be a good sign for DLC songs.

Because you refuse to read the part where they said they'll continue to support their titles, and they own everything they owned before the sale.

You also missed the part where MTV dropped the M.

MTV did *not* drop the M.
They just changed its meaning. Instead of "Music" TV, it's now "Malaise" TV.

I'd say it was "Mediocre", but that applies to most things on TV.

Did I miss the discussion already about how Viacom sold off HMX for only 50 bucks?

I mean, tax write-offs as well, but this is HUGE insult to the company and genre in my eyes.

Yeah I saw it on RockBandAide, if Viacom really sold HMX for 50$, thats like giving them away for free. 50$ is pocket chnage for them, it should have been atleast a million.
