I don't officially announce anything until I have a contract. Right now, I have a contract with the Gregory Brothers, Erik Mongrain and Ronald Jenkees. Anything else is just BS or hinting at things that are in the works. I am actively seeking out new clients though so I'm always open to suggestions. I especially like to tap YouTube for artists, like Jenkees and Autotune the News and Your Favorite Martian (who I have tried contacting but never get anything back) so if people have bands they want to see, I will always try my damnedest to get them.
But the longer I sit here with Sweet Victory on repeat, the more disappointed I'll be if you say it's not coming
8/9/11 (Def Leppard) will be marked as the best day in RB history for me. HMX, major thanks for all this amazing DLC you put out!
So you actually have contacted YourFavoriteMartian? Just keep trrying, it would be cool to get some of their songs in the game.
I don't know if My Balls would be appropriate for release, but Zombie Love Song would be cool. Has keys and everything.
[ ] More Disturbed
[ ] More Coheed & Cambria
[X] More Breaking Benjamin - Nov. 1st 2011
I'm in "let's email a bunch of bands" mode. I'm also emailing bands that are on big labels on the off chance that they actually retained the rights to their own music. So if you want to make ridiculous requests or even sane, normal requests, now would be a good time for that.
How about Nizlopi ? You must have heard their JCB song! Check out the album "Half these songs are about you". It's sort of mellow rock and the guys appear to be very down to earth by keeping it real
Probably a good time to check on the Protomen, now that RBN 2.0 is here.
There's a band called Nightmare of You that would be nice to have in RBN.
Also when I pinged Christopher Tin on Twitter he thought Baba Yetu in Rock Band would be pretty cool so you could see if he's interested in pursuing that. Would be weird but fun.
Jared Emerson-Johnson is another game composer.
Also what about 2D Boy's World of Goo soundtrack?
LB Rayne did a Tron spoof song called "The Goove Grid" which would be hilarious on Keys, mostly.
The band Nine Days (famous for their song "Absolutely" and to a lesser extent, "257 Weeks")
The band Fastball (famous for the song "The Way" and "Out of My Head")
Gogol Bordello is a Gypsy punk band. Enough said.
Emilie Autumn? Imogen Heap? Mindless Self Indulgence?
Ok will edit later if I have any more brainstorms
