I can't play Guitar, Bass, and Keyboard as a band on All Instrument mode offline.

When I play keyboard alone I can select to play the bass or guitar part if any of my DLC songs doesn't support Keys. Which is over 95% of them. As a band with Bass, Guitar and Keyboard on All Instrument Mode. The keyboardist is not even allowed to play along with the band if it doesn't have any keys. Every time I play my RBN songs the keyboardist has to drop out. The game won't let the keyboardist choice the Guitar or Bass option just like I could if I was playing alone. I know there is already a Bassist and a guitarist in the band play. The keyboardist shouldn't have to sit down just because there is no key support in the 2000+ rb songs.

So, you say there is already a bassist AND guitarist in the band so what do you expect the keyboard player to do? There are two parts and three players. What else could happen other than the keyboardist sit out?

Again as stated in solo mode the keyboardist can play the bass or guitar parts but as a band ,no.

No two people can play the same track. This isn't new - it's been this way since RB1. The game streams each audio stream separately and whether the note sounds or doesn't is based on whether the person controlling that track made or missed the note. When there's two people playing the same track... that wouldn't work.

Songs that don't have a keyboard part... only have two parts for Guitar and Bass. If they're already occupied... go have a drink. For the same reason two guitarists can't play the same guitar tracks, a guitarist and a keyboardist also can't play the same guitar track.

Again, as stated, you said there already is a guitarist and bassist. NEITHER of them can play the keyboard part on thier controller so the keyboardist is the odd man out.

Thanks for making that clear. So, I guess the person playing the Keyboard is X'ed out in most of the DLC songs because the game doesn't allow duplicate parts even if it is played on a different instrument.

I think mvp039, you answered your own question, you just didn't like the answer. lol
My question, If there's not a Bass or Guitar present can you play the part on keyboard? I'm very new at RB and unclear on a lot of points.

Yes. You can always play a Bass or Guitar part on keys, right from the start.

To play a keys part on a guitar peripheral, you need to have unlocked the "Guitar Immortal" achievement (50 disc songs played achieving 5* on medium or 3*+ on hard/expert). Or turn on All Instruments Mode.

But guitar (or bass) on keys only requires you to turn on your keyboard peripheral. When you try to join any song, you should have the choice of which track to play: Guitar, Bass, Keys, or Pro keys.
