Played some Left 4 Dead 1. Got around to beating all the missions again. Did the last two online, and was pleasantly surprised to see that quite a few people still play online. I was even more surprised that no one was trolling.

Been somewhat addicted to the iPhone game "Where's My Water?"

Simple premise: Get the water into the pipe leading to Swampy the Crocodile's shower head. You dig through the earth to create a path for the water to take and there are so many variables that create for great puzzles challenges such as:

Algae: If touched by water, it grows in the direction of the water. Acts as a barrier at first, but it can be countered with...

Poison Water: Dissolves algae and will immediately turn any body of water into poison water if they come in contact. KEEP OUT OF THE SHOWER PIPE!

Movable Faucets: Control how much water spits out and where it goes.

    And so much more.

If you have an iPhone and $0.99, you must play this game.

Finished Catherine. Two problems, the rest is pretty good.

    1. The closing moments of the game weren't necessarily bad. But they were weirder than they needed to be. (American Psycho SPOILERS in following black text) Remember how people said that if the entire film took place in Bateman's head that it would be a far less interesting discussion on the subject matter? That's basically Catherine's left field plot twist. I will say no more.

    2. It was hard. Very hard. Even on the easiest setting, I looked at walkthroughs a lot. It was downright brutal at times. If you're dumb, don't play this game. It will kick your ass (And no, GNF, your insult will not work. Cipher has already played the game and got a solid amount of progression through the game.)

Otherwise, a very unique experience. Proves that games have a lot of ideas in them left. It's by far one of the most interesting games in a long time and I advise everyone at least check it out.

    Unless you're dumb.

I stopped playing because I forget of to save after a boss fight, and I'll be damned if I have to do it again.
It's hard and I played on the easiest difficulty, but I never had to consult a guide :I

Got Trials Evolution over the weekend. I've already reached the Extreme tracks, all of which are very difficult (except maybe Way of the Ninja). The game has definitely been ramped up in difficulty compared to Trials HD, because a lot of the Medium level tracks on Evolution are filled with stuff you'd find in a Hard level track in HD, so yeah. Also, the track editor is amazing. I love this thing.

On an unrelated note, soon I'm going to be replaying Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

Finished up L.A. Noire. Great game, but it kinda made me feel stupid for how often I screwed up the interrogations :S

One thing I didn't really understand - why is Cole cheating on his wife the worst of all sins? The vice cop takes bribes, overlooks crimes, gambles illegally, and is just generally a dick, yet he's a rockstar (no pun intended) in the department. Affable Cole, who everyone says is a great police officer, has a tryst with a lounge singer and he is persona non grata. I get that it feeds the theme of his personal redemption from the atrocity he committed in the war, but Jack's the only one in the core story who knows about that.
