Ran into the wierdest bug in Spartan Ops. In one of the maps you can't see the Covenant. Apparently they are either invisible or very tiny, so all you can see are their weapons bouncing around and shooting at you. It took me quite a while to figure out what kept killing me when there were no enemies around!

The recent launch of the WiiU made me think about how far the current consoles have come, and I have to say, Microsoft and Sony absolutely nailed it with their two consoles. My xbox has become the entertainment hub of my household, and I think I use for more for video/entertainment than anything else, Netflix especially. I'm watching Monday Night Football on it right now, and if you think about where these machines started, that is pretty damn cool. Not to mention how many awesome games I've played on the 360/PS3.

Sadly, I feel like Nintendo is out of the loop. I will always love their amazing first-party games, but they seem so far behind on literally everything else, even on the WiiU, and that makes me sad.

You're not their target demo. They will sell ****ing piles to their target demo, and outsell both Sony and Microsoft put together just as they did in the 7th generation.

I love these sorts of posts that talk about how far behind Ninty is and how they have their shortcoming, technical and otherwise. Ninty can't hear your complaints behind their stacks of money that are thick enough to shield them from nuclear radiation.

Will they make stacks from the WiiU though? It seems only the "hardcore" crowd knows anything about it. I've only seen the commercial for it a few times on TV and it does nothing to tell you it's a new console. If I didn't know better I'd think it was just a new controller.

We are more in their demo than with the Wii. They are trying to get more third party support to try and draw people like us in but none of the launch game seem to give you any reason to buy a game on Wii U over the 360/PS3 version. Also the fact that the system you get out of the box can barely do anything and the launch day update is 5GB and takes upwards of an hour to complete and even longer to set up your account and all that stuff that kids arent going to be happy when they have to wait hours to play their Wii U on Christmas day. Also they wont let you play real co-op on New Super Mario Bros U with the gamepad is SUPER DUMB.

I do like how Nintendo is really pushing digital copies of almost all of the game though the fact that the high end console is only 32gb is completely ridiculous.

I don't think that'll happen this time around. A lot of people are convinced that Wii U is the controller add-on, not an entirely new console. However, I think the real problem here is in the differences between the way the Wii and the Wii U will "function" in a household.

Firstly, the Wii worked well because it was a "second console" in a generation where gamers had either an Xbox or a PS3 as a "main console." The Wii U is striving hard to be a "main console" this time around, or so it seems, what with AC3, Arkham City, ME3, and so on making appearances on the console, and Bayonetta 2 being one of the few third-party exclusives to the console. You say we're not the target demo, but they're focusing more on us than ever before, and I think that's a pretty severe mistake. Sure, work on awesome tech, but bring us new franchises that strive to bring in even more families!

Secondly, the Wii U doesn't have a killer app as of yet. Lord knows how many people were turned onto the Wii after a couple of rounds of Wii Tennis--they could play it against friends, giving it a social aspect, and watching the Miis scrambling around the screen swinging the racket the way you do was inherently charming, and more importantly was something you could only do with the Wiimote. What does the Wii U have that you can show to your non-gamer friends to appeal to them? Certainly not the titles I mentioned above; if they wanted those games they could have gotten them for Xbox or PS3. (Well, they'd have to settle for the first Bayonetta but you get the idea.) The Wii U controller is a personal screen, meant for "U," not "Wii."

In short, I think there's a real possibility that the Wii U is doing a 180 on everything that made the Wii a perfect storm for a money printing machine. If not a full 180, at least an 80. I will acknowledge that everything I'm saying is speculation, but I feel like Nintendo is going the wrong way for this.

Been playing Hitman Absolution, not sure if its better or on par with Blood Money. All the negative reviews are full of it, great game.

Finished Hitman loved it, should hold me up for the 6 months at least. Heres hoping the next one comes a lot sooner.

Only complaint:
I can forgive the not being able to close doors, magic hands/pockets, lack of communication with NPCs, the beloved briefcase no more, but 47 choosing not to wear a balaclava when available is bulls***! I suppose having him wear it and still be made would make the flaws of disguise system even more apparent, but idk that just really bothers me can't accept it.

Also, supposedly the Wii U's cpu is slow. I heard it's something like 12 GB/s though it has more RAM (2GB, whereas 360 has 512 MB,) but the 360's cpu is 20 GB/s. Skip the first 25 seconds of the video if you don't want to see a bad possibly NSFW joke.
