What were the last video games you played?

The new Need For Speed Most Wanted is pretty awesome. NFS is now like Call of Duty was. Its only good when Criterion is making them.

The thing though is EA Black Box did alright with Undercover and then they messed it up with The Run. I've only played a little bit of Most Wanted, it seemed alright, about the same level as Hot Pursuit but looking back, I didn't enjoy Hot Pursuit all that much either. The last NFS game that was really good was the original Most Wanted. When they started taking out customization of the cars gradually, the quality of the series went down gradually until now, like 10 games later, they're just shoveling out re-hashed Most Wanted's essentially. Feels like they continue to take steps in the wrong direction.

An Underground 3 game that follows in the footsteps of its predecessors can easily restore my faith, but then again, felt the same way with the Most Wanted remake and was left a little disappointed.

I've been playing the new Devil May Cry game as part of an agreement with an old high school friend.
It's my intro to the series, and while it's a bit more fun than I expected the writing and storyline are both so lame even I'm bothered by it and I normally pay very little mind to either.

I'm currently unemployed and have no money, so I'm finally trying to beat GTA IV and Prey. Tomb Raider and Bioshock infinite will be mine when I have a job, though.

I beat Other M. I still need to go back and get all the missile upgrades and energy tanks but, for the most part, I beat it.

I rented the game a month or two after it came out and returned it as soon as I saw Samus refusing to use her varia suit until Adam told her too even though she was in a ****ing volcano.
Well last week I was at Block Buster and saw they had it used for $5 and figured "what the hell".

As far as gameplay goes I guess it makes sense for Samus to not have all her powers from the very beginning but it makes the story **** to have it be because Adam told her not to use them. Samus is a bounty hunter, why the hell is she obeying orders from her old CO? Anyway even then it only makes sense that her offensive weapons are shut off, why the hell are things like the grapple beam, space jump, and the gravity suit going to be dangerous to have active? Whatever....

It's because Samus said that she would listen to Adams orders as she hasn't done in the past. Yeah I know it sucks, but you got to give them credit for the story. Just because Samus looked bad ass and hardly said anything in the other games doesn't mean she's suppose to be portray the same way. The way I've see it the game was design to show Samus sensitive side, but I think what pissed off every Metroid fan would be how she seem to be showing some deeper feelings to Adam -_- Which I find it ridiculous -_-

Welp, just made it to "End or Beginning" in VLR.

...there was a lot I hadn't expected, there, but I think I was caught more off-guard by 999, which also provided a catharsis that VLR couldn't. Narratively, 999 still wins, but the journey in VLR was just as excellent. Whatever the third Zero Escape game brings, I'm looking forward to it.

Finished Devil May Cry this morning and have to take back the slightly positive comments I gave to it's gameplay. It got worse fast.

Just because Samus looked bad ass and hardly said anything in the other games doesn't mean she's suppose to be portray the same way. The way I've see it the game was design to show Samus sensitive side, but I think what pissed off every Metroid fan would be how she seem to be showing some deeper feelings to Adam -_- Which I find it ridiculous -_-

She saw Adam as a father figure, at least that's how it seemed to me. What pissed me off was that this strong female was willing to burn to death before disobeying orders and turning on her heat shields.

Metroid Prime.

I'm not a fan of the fact that it's a first person Metroid game but, dammit, it does it so well. The scanning thing can get a bit tiresome but it is an effective way of telling the story of what the hell happened to this planet. My biggest gripes are that the weapons don't really feel all that effective. The missiles make like the tiniest explosion. The way Samus lost all her powers in the beginning was just dumb. A small explosion blasts her into an elevator and her hitting the wall broke everything. She got hit with way worse **** during the game. And last is that dumb little danger meter on the left of the HUD. It only warned you when you were already standing in something that could damage you and not before. Dumb.

Anyway it was a cool game and I look forward to playing Prime 2.

Really? o_O Because the cut scenes seem to portray that she has some affection towards Adam o_O But yeah I felt that not being able to use some weapons because someone has order you not to felt lazy. If their like some type of situation that explained why you can't use them (other than the fact, that it's Adam -_-) give it a good reason. IDK I felt the game explain a pretty good story line (though ruining Samus' strong female status -_-) and the cut scenes are really good. It's a shame (and a miracle) that this is sold for under 20 bucks now ^_^

It's a shame they've discontinued the MP Trilogy for the wii MP2: Echos was is my first Metroid game ever
