Gears of war Judgment.

... Jesus... I genuinely didn't think I'd be disappointed by a GoW game any time soon. I'm not a fan of the control scheme change (I spent my first half an hour online throwing grenades at my teammates), the move to CoD the multiplayer and the shocking lack of content outside of DLC...

Not cool, Epic... Not cool. 6/10

I've heard so much mixed things about the new Gears game that I'm not sure I'll ever get this one. That and I'm kinda boycotting FPS games since so many of them focus way more on multiplayer than single player and even then the multiplayer dies after a year and the next round of FPS games comes out.

And yes I know Gears of War is technically a Third Person Shooter, but the same thing applies.

Then youll probably never play a FPS again. Who cares where THEY want to to play play where you want to play. So Call of Duty is more MP focused, who cares, the SP was still kinda fun.

Games can have multiplayer all they want for all I care, but don't ignore the single player. That's just dumb.
I hate that we seem tp be in an era of gaming where devs seem to care so much more about multiplayer than single player.

I'd almost go so far as to say that the FPS genre has ruined gaming, but that might be a bit extreme.

It would be extreme, also dumb. Its about sales and retention. MP gives people a reason to keep a game rather than selling it when they are done with it. Its a good business plan. Its done right in games and its done poorly in games. Mass Effect 3, Uncharted and Assassins Creed are all games that do it right. Bioshock 2 to a lesser extent but that was still good fun.

For most AAA games the addition of MP will not affect the SP in the slightest because they are totally different teams doing the work on it. I mean just go watch the credits for any Ubisoft game.

Somehow a mediocre 6 hour campaign which is what most FPS games seem to offer isn't my idea of fun. As far as the multiplayer goes, it is downright boring without friends to play with. And even then Call of Duty multiplayer is never "fun".

Please don't bring up sales, that is never an impressive argument to me.

It doesnt matter if its an "impressive argument" to you because thats why they are doing it.

Businesses gotta be businesses. If you dont like FPSs fine whatever but to say they've ruined games is dumb.

No. Im saying games can(and have) have both a good single player and a multiplayer mode. Im saying multiplayer isnt affecting single player like you assume it is. Im saying Mass Effect 3, Assassins Creed and Uncharted are all games with great single players and good multiplayer modes. Im saying FPSs didnt ruin gaming. Im saying video games are still great.

I shall close with this. The best SP experience will always be better than the best MP experience because MP eventually dies, SP lasts as long as you are willing to play it.
