I have no illusions that singleplayer is going away in the BF franchise (though I don't know anyone that liked it in BF3), but I wanted to provide an alternate perspective to those who want their preferred games to go SP-only.
I finished it quickly, but Bioshock Infinite was cool. On one hand, I am happy that gunplay was more viable with the flood of ammo than in the two previous games, but I think they took it too far, as the vigors felt tacked on in comparison. Still, it clearly beats part 2, but falls a few steps behind the original.
I'll note that Bioshock would be a series that I feel works best in focusing it's resources on singleplayer, but I never got to experience B2's multiplayer. It seems like a bad idea, but I'll probably never know for sure.

they won't get rid of single player any time soon because having it doesn't lose sales but having it does get sales, however small that may be. no one says "that game has single player? im not going to buy that"

I never played it before. I only popped it in to see what it was like but it felt clunky and slow. I don't know. I only played it for a few minutes but when just walking around feels so clunky I just can't get over it.
