Yes Shadow Temple. I'm glad i got the Lens of Truth before it. It almost seemed like that should have been that ones item and not the useless hover boots.

I didn't hate the Water Temple, it was just a pain in the ass to have to constantly switch between the iron boots and the regular boots. It made me appreciate the way Wind Waker (and Twilight Princess) allowed you to use the iron boots like any other item.

I guess I should have been more specific saying I liked the 3DS Water Temple, since the Iron Boots can be assigned to a button like you wanted. Unfortunately, I never got to play the original Water Temple since my GC port got scratched and for some bizarre reason wouldn't load the original OoT, but WOULD load up the Master Quest version, in which the Water Temple seemed pretty simple. I guess the whole boot switching through the pause menu was what killed most of the original Water Temple's experience for most players like you said.

Yeah i'm playing on the Wii virtual console. Thats weird that your GC version got scratched that way because that is exactly what happened to mine. Thats why i never beat it before. I was forced to play Master Quest and ended up getting stuck in Dodongo's Cavern.

Hmm, true. I guess I should have said something like "40 playable human characters each with their own unique back-story."
Most RPGs I've played with human partners doesn't go into double digits for how many tag along over the course of the entire game.

How about Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn? It has 73 human/half human playable characters in it all with their own unique backstory~

That's crazy. I got stuck there too originally and just left it to come back a few months later to realize, "Oh, I can roll into the boxes to destroy them." So I eventually made it to Ganon's Castle but kinda lost interest halfway through.

I never tried Fire Emblem, but since my addition of Chrono Cross, I now have four RPGs I'm in the middle of: FFVIII, IX, XIII, and Chrono Cross. God help me understand the plots of each one. I should probably finish IX first since it has been awesome all the way so far and my PS3 says I'm on Disc 3/4.

I played FF13, and damn I tried so hard to like it. Really, I did. It just... it was /that/ bad D:
Fire Emblem is great, but it's not for the easily frustrated. It really sucks to have everything go right and then have your favorite unit die at the very end of the mission forcing you to start over. Not that the game forces you, which is even worse because you're well aware that the only thing keeping you back is your own determination to be perfect XP

Yeah, I have my gripes with FFXIII, mostly lacking a coherent story and an open world saved for after the game is beaten, but I think I'll make it through. Playing IX at the same time though, where everything is great to me, also puts XIII in IX's shadow.

I looked up Radiant Dawn and realized it's a tactical RPG, which I actually have no taste for whatsoever. Sorry Cipher, but my favorite RPGs are definitely turn based like FFIX or Chrono Trigger. Thanks for the suggestion though.
