Metroid Prime Trilogy is like, $70 used, if you can even find it, but it's got the first 2 with Achievements and the amazing Prime 3 controls.
Is it just me, or did Corruption seem a lot shorter compared to Prime 1 and Echoes?

I was hoping I didn't have to pony up $70 for three games I already own. Buying the Collection on Wii was a last resort if my supposedly broken memory card still didn't work. I'm fully content with my GC versions of Prime 1 and 2, despite the price of hardware limitations in still needing a memory card to save.

I wonder if I still have my 100% scan file for Echoes. I actually had to play through the game twice to accomplish that. Dark Samus in her final forms were supposed to be my last scans of the game, but she only yielded 99% of total scans.

I frantically looked over all my scans and realized I missed a creature in Agon Wastes. "Okay," I thought, "Scan him and come fight the final boss again. No problem..." WRONG! As it turns out, the creature I missed was one of the Alpha Worm things, with emphasis on the "one." The only Alpha Worm in the entire game is the one that gets possessed by the Ing and turned into the Bomb Guardian, a completely different scan after the transformation is complete.

Essentially, I was screwed from the start and didn't know it until the very end. Happy memories, but I did it again, and got my 100% scan file.

    $70 is low-end.

Test Drive Unlimited 2. I have a crappy little car painted like a Taxi that I park in front of the airport, then when the jerks start trying to ram me off the road, I lead them onto the insane off-road paths where my car still performs perfectly and their $2,000,000 Buggati can't get over 60mph.

I might have had some bias since the last Collection of old games I bought ran me only $30. Prime 1 by itself cost me only $3 at Gamestop of all places and that was around three years ago.

    I got Sonic's UGC for $20.

    I got Prime 1 for $6. : (

Also, Trilogy is expensive because it was low-print. There's only one run out there.

That makes sense. I thought it was just Nintendo trying to keep their first party games from depreciating on the current generation console. I think a new copy of Brawl is still around $45 at Walmart.

That's because it came free with every Game Cube for a while.

Damn Nintendo and their one runs. Still cant find Pikmin 2 for cheaper then $45 and that was without a box. I got super excited when they said they were releasing it on the Wii but they cancelled it when the rereleased GC games didn't sell.

Final Fantasy X (I actually have a bunch of old games I'm juggling with playtime right now)

Even though X is already my favorite Final Fantasy, I think my favorite aspect is the presentation of the main antagonist, Sin. Back when the game first came out, I was over at my "FF fanatic" friend's house when I first saw the Zanarkand attack in the beginning. I actually thought Sin was the big ball of water since I couldn't make out anything inside and I went along with that theory for awhile. The attack on the Al Bhed ship still seemed like Sin just took the form of water since only darting splashes could be seen as Tidus was knocked off and sucked into a whirlpool.

Only a little further is when I got a glimpse of the beast, first it's fin while on the boat to Kilika. Well it appeared that Sin felt like the tranquil shoreline village deserved to be hit with a tsunami. Yep that's a pretty big wave and...

    *aerial view of the shore*

    OHMYGOD, WHAT IS THAT THING?!

Just an outline of the beast and it's sheer size made me realize why the people of Spira were so terrified of this creature. Sin became instantly fascinating in the same way the shark was in the first Jaws movie. Only seeing a shadow under the surface, and bits and pieces of its body at a time was really unnerving but intriguing.

The effect of using the silhouette of a monster is a powerful tool for striking curiosity, especially with submerged creatures. That dreaded feeling of the unknown right in front of your face. I love it.

    Twisted Metal Head-On

The new Twisted Metal game can't come soon enough. After nearly 7 years, I think this is still one of the best titles for PSP.
