What were the last video games you played?

It's kind of like how much I wanted to get Duke Nukem Forever and Too Human really bad. I know it's bad going in, but I just want to play it.

I found Resistance: Fall of Man at Gamestop for $5 so i picked it up. It's kinda fun so far, but the gameplay seems kind of clumsy at times. I'll probably get the second game if it moderately impresses me.

Beat Skyward Sword recently. I must say, I'm impressed.

Good
Actual difficulty, even in beating enemies.
Bosses were fun to figure out/fight. Especially Koloktos.
Pretty long, large amounts of gameplay.
Cool minigames.

DEMISE!!
(Mostly) Awesome music by the god of video game soundtracks, Koji Kondo.
Numerous references to other Zelda games. (One squid creature even says 'It's a secret to everybody' after telling you how to spin jump out of the water.)
Horde battle.
Items actually get used often after the dungeon where you get them. (Spinner for TP, I'm looking at you.)

Bad
Music was sadly pretty forgettable in some areas.
Lots of backtracking. A lot.
Some bosses are frustratingly difficult. I like a challenge, but when it takes me about 30 tries to kill a giant scorpion, it's not too fun.


And this deserves it's own paragraph. The final battle against Demise actually wasn't as good or epic as people said it was. People on various Facebook fan pages I visit are all like "OMG DEMISE BATTLE IS THE BEST FINAL BATTLE EVAR!!"... Not the case, sadly.

Demise himself is awesome, (spoilers) and the fact that Ganondorf is hinted at being Demise's reincarnation was so cool, but the battle pretty much sucked (venue, gameplay, difficulty, etc.), and the music was utterly forgettable on top of that. I don't find this nearly as memorable as this, or as epic as this, or as chaotic/disturbing/unsettling as any of these.

Pretty much playing Skyrim and GTAIV until The Witcher 2 comes out.

Went from 640G to 1050G in Mass Effect 1 in a week with three plays. It got so old. So, so old. But I had to do it, or it would have been harder to come back to.

I"m done with ME3 until DLC comes out. 55 hours in single player and about that much in MP isn't bad for 60 bucks, though.

I'd wager that's pretty damn good. The only better ratio I can think of is maybe GotY Fallout 3/Borderlands for $20, a Final Fantasy Advance title, or Pokemon.

Jumping back into inFamous 2 so I can nab the last few trophies for a Platinum. I love that fresh, new file smell.
