GH WT was the first time I actually got really pissed off about all the advertisements. All I remember from it was KFC buckets and giant signs for subway everywhere. I haven't played it since 09 so mostly forget about most of the main offenders. GH 5 had it bad too iirc.

    And I HATE Dr. Pepper.

    And I HATE Dr. Pepper.
GHWT had the most advertisements of them all, and they were all insanely annoying. Oddly enough, I really don't remember Band Hero having advertisements.

    And Dr. Pepper is awesome.

Dirt: Showdown was a pretty big disappointment and I'm glad I didn't blow a full price $60 on it either. It's not a bad game, it's essentially FlatOut + Dirt 3, but the physics are not nearly as good as FlatOut was and it makes the game frustrating especially in a Knockout race where if you just hold the throttle a millisecond too long and you go flying off the platform. The Figure 8 races too are tough especially on higher difficulties since you get a DNF if you total your car (which on the long Figure 8 races near the end, it pretty much becomes a survival race). It also falls into the same pitfall as previous Dirt games as being too repetitive, there's simply not enough tracks and you'll be racing the same track at least 4-5 times in the career. This game even has re-hashed Dirt 2 tracks in disguise which probably only long time Dirt players would realize (like myself). Overall, I'd give it a 6/10 for a hold-me-over game until Dirt 4 is released. It's not terrible, but it's not a game you'll play much longer than a couple of weeks.

Also been playing a little bit of Lollipop Chainsaw which is kinda meh so far.

Just a few games I've been playing off and on recently:
-Minecraft (XBLA) --- Fun little game. Eats up way more of my time than it should but there's nothing like stumbling upon a massive cave network.

-The Walking Dead (PSN) --- I got this when I was bored one friday early morning. Loved the comics and thought 'hey why not?'. It's a very nice experience. Don't know if I would really call it a game though. More like and interactive movie.

-Resistance 2 (PS3) --- Just another I saw for a good price at GameStop. I know I'm way behind on the series but it's a huge step up from the first one. Massive multiplayer matches that can go on for hours? What's not to like?

-The Legend of Zelda (Wii VC) --- Nostalgia. Felt Like playing it again. Trying to beat my previous 'golf' record. I'm pretty confident 86 deaths won't be hard to beat :P

You haven't played many point & click or interactive film genre games have you?

But yeah, I still maintain interactive film is in essence a crossover genre; it's a film AND a game. As a big fan of stuff like Back to the Future, Heavy Rain, etc. Walking Dead is great for me, I can't wait for episode 2 (which they delayed to the end of this month, the bastards).
