Portal 2, having a blast. Never played the other games. (No particular reason)

The puzzles are fun and the writing is great. Stephen Merchant is awesome.

I think Portal 1 may be free on Steam right now. The second game is much longer, in depth and much more story driven, but I still recommend giving the first a playthrough if you can.

Also, make sure to get a buddy (preferably in person rather than online) and do the coop mode. You won't regret it.

So co-op can be split screen?

Yep. If you have a small screen or want to do it online though, you can, just make sure you both have a headset, you'll need it.
