From what I read, it's only half price for the first week after its release.

I heard that too, so get them before the next one comes out and you'll save a bundle. Hearthfire may be worth skipping though. I liked it, but in reality it was quite unnecessary.

And this is the game anyone with a pulse is required to fall head-over-heels in love with, right? I mean, I bought it, but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

Finished up Most Wanted finally. I may go after some scrap trophies leftover like the billboard and jack pot trophies, but I don't see myself doing all the races for each car. The Most Wanted car races are a cakewalk compared to some of the regular races and I didn't have much fun with this game to begin with, so I'll pass on the unnecessary grinding.

Time to finally crack back into Twisted Metal though. I finished Sweet Tooth's story, never even started Mr. Grimm's and I hear the boss battles for both Mr. Grimm and Dollface are pretty difficult. The game itself isn't too bad, some people really hate on the gameplay, I don't see any problem with it honestly, it's just like Black was so I don't know why suddenly people don't like it. It's frustrating at times, but that's how Twisted Metal has always been. The electric cage matches suck though, that I will admit.

A newly acquired copy of R.C. Pro-Am on NES. And not an emulator! The real deal!

Not that I'm much good at it...

Instantly became one of my favorite games when I played it the first time, but I know I'm in the minority, especially since I'm not a big RPG fan anymore.

Skyrim was my favorite game of 2011, and probably my most played game of 2012 as well, but theres no such thing as a universally loved game, so it may not be for you. I know a lot of people are put off by the game being so open-ended, most of the game's more compelling writing is in the background of the setting and in smaller sub-quests, and not so much in the 'main' quest. But if you like exploring and wondering what might be around that next corner, it's a fantastic game. (needless to say, I'm picking up all of the DLC this month).

    Aliens: Colonial Marines

Trite, shoddy, crap AI paired with some achingly bad writing make this the biggest affront to the Alien franchise.

    Behind Prometheus, of course.
