I didn't get very far in Kingdoms of Amalur before I decided I didn't like it. Sure the combat was awesome, but it seemed like the story wouldn't be able to back it up. So I trusted my gut and picked up some other games instead: Dragon's Dogma, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, and Killzone 2.
I had played the Dragon's Dogma demo and felt a disconnect with the controls. Picking up the retail version was a completely different experience for me for some reason.. really enjoyed it. I'll be returning it since I got it used and will then buy the new Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen when that comes out next tuesday. That way I'll get those special bonuses for people who have a DD save file already and enjoy all the additional content as well.![]()
I'm not too big on Ratchet and Clank~ was always a Jak and Daxter kind of guy, but I can't deny that these games are lots of fun. Only just started Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and I'm already having a blast of platforming awesomeness, which is something the PS3 doesn't have a lot of really.
Killzone 2, on the other hand, I'm not sure of yet. Don't think I'm in the mood for a shooter right now so I might just hold off on it.
