Finally got to give Minecraft 1.8 a whirl (had to download a new .exe so I could log in and update). The new lighting engine is lovely, and the outside world looks gorgeous at night. I also like the new bow mechanics and the food bar is a nice addition (recharges your health if full). And food FINALLY stacks in the inventory. Also, little touches like chests opening when you look in them are nice.

Since I'm still playing in my old world, I'll have to travel to another map if I want to see some of the bigger environmental changes. I don't know if it was just bad luck, but I noticed that underground creepers seem to spawn more aggressively. I rounded a corner a few times last night in an area I thought was secure from mob spawning only to have a creeper blow up in my face.
    Weird Al Yankovich DLC please?

I'm having that problem in my castle. I may have to put more torches in.

I haven't had any mobs in my lair yet (aside from one instance when I left a trap door open), but every time I make an expansion I separate it with a door just to be safe. Especially since I just started a rail system that begins inside my mountain.

    Mario Kart Wii

Did some online multiplayer. I still need to re-figure out how to do the rocket boost.

I'm super stuck right now on Oracle of Ages!
I'm at the part where you have to do the Goron Dance to get the key for (i think) the past version of dungeon 6.
There are just 2 rhythm games i can't play Parappa the Rapper and Goron Dancing. ARGH!

Edit: I did it right after i posted this lol. I have been trying for like 2 days and as soon as i posted this i was able to do it on my first try.

Beat Mass Effect 2. I'll be planning on playing it through again on hard mode in time to start Mass Effect 3 when it releases.

    Recently, I've been playing:

    Final Fantasy III (VI)
    Bit.Trip Complete
    Donkey Kong Country Returns
    Wii Party
    Atom Zombie Smasher

As of now, the only game I'm really looking forward to is The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. I'm excited to finally have an extensively motion-controlled game which has a better chance than many of being critically and commercially successful. Most of the "good" Wii games hardly use the motion controls. The videos and screenshots for SS look absolutely phenomenal. I do have a bit of reservation with Zelda, however, as I have trouble beating any of them. I do love the series, but these games can really test my patience with their difficult boss battles and obtuse overworld puzzles. I've only ever finished one: Link's Awakening DX for Game Boy Color. The games are just too darn hard!
    DLC Wants:
    Moody Blues
    Coldplay
    Beach Boys
    Chicago
    Arcade Fire

Been burning up Dead Island lately. A lot better than what I thought it was going to be.

Looking forward to Batman Arkham City, hopefully I can get Dead Island finished up before it come out.

    Minecraft

One group of people I know restarted their server and I joined it this time. I have a nice cabin on a tree-covered hill. The next project is to build roads and bridges to a mountain where I'll build a castle.

Just finished Alan Wake. It kinda started to annoy me more and more as it went on. Just, how the game would twist the camera angle to show you a Taken coming at you from behind...and then return the camera to exactly how you had it, meaning the Taken was no longer visible. Given that you can't see **** anyway (and yes, I'm fully aware that that's the whole point) it got a little annoying.

Ah well. Still got the DLC to play through.
