Your Rock Band Epic Fail of the week

Had a couple of minor fails, all on Expert Guitar.

Was doing RB1 songs for the first time on RB3 and, being a ludicrously easy setlist, I was Gold-Starring practically everything on my first try. But I missed out on some really stupid FCes, the worst on Sabotage and Suffragette City, in which I choked on practically the last note.

And Jimi Hendrix proves annoying as usual, as, for the umpteenth time, I've failed in 5-starring Bold as Love, three of the Axis songs I simply cannot 5S. That album is insane in comparison to AYE...

My HDD got corrupted.

Lost everything, including RB data. Everything besides my XBL leaderboard placements, that is.

Characters, goals, etc. All gone, kind of lame.

I managed to recreate my own character and he looks exactly the same, but my friends have to start from scratch as well. I managed to regain my entire library in the span of 24 hours.

I'm going to look into how to make a back-up, in case this were ever to occur again.

I have mine on auto-backup from the PSN+, so I'll always have a backup.

Wait a month. Unfortunate timing, but Cloud storage rolls out in November for the Xbox.

I have worked all week long to get a goal on medium pro bass. All I need is 3 stars on these two songs "Free Bird" and "Caught in a Mosh" to achieve this little goal. It's medium...not like I'm trying to tackle hard bass yet. When I hit these rough patches, I ask myself if I really want to play Pro guitar all that badly....The verdict is still out. I'll let you know how I feel If I ever get this goal.

I had so many fails this weekend, it's not even funny.

But probably the worst one was that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't even Gold-star Get Free by The Vines on Expert Guitar.

One of the easiest songs on the game, yet I couldn't Gold-star it. I spent all night on it and I eventually gave up, fuming.

Obviously, for someone who's 5-starred GGAHT on Expert, this shouldn't happen, so it turned out I needed to calibrate the game to my new TV. That's what was causing all the failure.

Still, massive fail.

Was playing Beatles today, on a gold star run when the phone rang, killed my streak and broke my concentration. Worst part? It was an automated message from the governor's office reminding me to vote.

I was practicing Adolescents on Vocal Harmonies, the game froze. Restarted the Xbox360, practicing other songs on Harmonies, then loaded Hash Pipe, the game froze again. Turned off the console and went to play something on the PC.
