MIDI PRO Device Compatibility Thread

Can anyone tell me if this simmons drum set will work for rock band 3. My girlfriend got me a gift card to guitar center and i want to get one of the drum sets that will work for the game. Any MIDI e-drums kit should work, as a MIDI signal is a MIDI signal, just be sure it has a MIDI out (I can see in your link that it has one). It can still be doable with a USB port, but you'd need to go through a computer, and bridge the signal to a MIDI out (or a USb <-> MIDI cable).

You need the MPA (MIDI Pro adapter) for any MIDI instruments (keyboards, drums, guitars (not many guitars are compatible with it)). Only the actual game controllers are compatible without the MPA. If you look at drums specifications, you can see if they have a MIDI output or not.

The midi pro adapter is cheap on Amazon.. got mine last month for $12.50.. so I bought 3 LMAO!

Hey, guys. I tried to use my Wii Pro Guitar with my XBox MIDI adapter, because I'm moving from Wii to XBox. It works great on Pro Mode, but I don't think it works with the standard 5-button. Unless there's some trick, only pro mode works with the Wii Pro Guitar on XBox.

If you're using the Squier, basic guitar doesn't work at all. If you're using the mustang with the dongle, basic guitar works, however, if you're refering to using the mustang with the MPA, I believe that it will act the same as the Squier, so no basic guitar.

Each brain has it's own way, some can't be mapped. Look at the instructions with it.
