RHCP "I'm With You" Listening Party

In case you haven't heard, the new album is streaming at www.redhotchilipeppers.com. Click the red asterisk where London is to listen, not sure if others are working yet. It doesn't matter where you're from, I'm in Boston and listening to the London channel. If you still have trouble, I heard you can stream through RHCP's iTunes page.

My favorites so far are Look Around, Did I Let You Know, and Goodbye Hooray. I haven't heard anything past Happiness Loves Company yet, nor have I heard Monarchy of Roses or Brendan's Death Song.

Just finished listening to the album - I'm pretty much in perfect agreement on the standout tracks (although I'm not quite as impressed with Even You, Brutus, but it's still good).

I'm streaming it too. I know for folks who can't get the RHCP website to work ( I couldn't for whatever reason), you an just go to itunes.com.rhcp to stream the album with iTunes.

I'm only on the third track. It sounds different, but cool.

The main thing I'm noticing as far as a stylistic shift is the influence of African percussion... almost like the Stadium Arcadium album got into a fender-bender with Vampire Weekend. It's a decent change, but the added use of toms highlights just how crappy Rubin's production really is, as the audio compression is something else in tom-heavy instrumental passages.
