ATTN HMX: songs were made after 1989....they exist i promise....and we get it, you like the beatles....stop forcin them down our throats...jebus

I cant believe im sayin this (some of you who know me are gonna be shocked) but Im tired of this classic rock stuff...the variety of DLC since RB3s release has been terrible at best.

35 songs came out last week. Feel free to cry about variety at a more appropriate time.

The only song I bought from HMX since RB3 was Sweet Home Alabama, but only because of the challenge. We need something else for a change. The EU songs were a step up, but they didn't stick with it, and now we get more oldies. I like some of these songs, but I want something challenging and fun to play on guitar or other instruments besides keys.

Yes indeed, and that makes me so incredibly happy words cannot describe it.

At least I like the Siouxsie choice.
For Live and Let Die, I really wonder if it has to do with licensing issues related to the song being recorded for the James Bond movie of the same name. The song was specifically commissioned for use in the movie so I don't know if that means the people who own the James Bond license have some ownership of the song? With the James Bond license itself in a state of limbo due to financial troubles of MGM (The reason why the rest of the Bond Blu-Ray releases are not coming out any time soon), that's probably the biggest reason why we don't have the song.

And the DLC released prior to RB3's release has been terrible at best as well with virtually all of it being "modern" stuff. We have had to deal with it for over two years. You have had to deal with it for only 3 months. As everybody was saying to me prior to RB3's release, "deal with it." There are thousands of songs available to you already with the preponderance being songs released in the past 15 years. Having to wait a while to get songs you want won't kill you. It didn't kill me. Now please keep your whining to a minimum as I FINALLY get a long stretch of songs that I like.

Probably in dozens of threads. The thing is, when the situation was reversed nobody complained about telling us classic rock fans to deal with it every chance they could. It's nice being able to put the glove on the other hand for once, and I'll continue to do it as long as we (classic rock fans) are finally getting the stuff we want.
