It for sure goes into that direction.

From what I saw about the crowd sourcing efforts, the conditions were more clear ("if X folks join, paying Y, the production will start").

My mistake. I should have added "in the EU" and i watched the xbox version.
German Gameshark store has only Wii ones. Prices on Amazon.de are around 200€ (about 250 USD) for the xbox version, UK price is about 150 GBP (about 240 USD).
Import from the US is not always easy because sellers sometimes only ship to US addresses.

That's an incredible sale at ToyRUs, though they're not shipping it an you have to find a store with one in stock (there's not one within 50 miles of me in San Diego). You should have bought the one you saw www1221 to sell it .

It should be noted that they have various RB2 and TBRB bundles for Xbox and PS3, all with at least one guitar or bass controller, a microphone and a drum kit, all for $100. With a set of RB3 cymbals ($30 most places), that's a $70 savings over the full RB3 kit now available for pre-order from Mad Catz.

They've only confirmed plans for 360 at the moment. I'm sure it all depends on the demand, so feel free to let them know if you're interested in seeing another PS3 run.
The question is should I hold off on buying them new on Amazon, or pray that Mad Catz will indeed make a PS3 version?

I'm in the 17109 area of Harrisburg, looking for Rock Band 2 drums.

I would not hold your breath but anything is possible. Mad Katz seems to be pretty Xbox-Centric these days however no one would be happier for me to be wrong than me.

If they do, it will still likely be 199.99 in which case I would buy one of these instead:

Then sell off the extra gear, or keep it if you need extra an extra guitar and mic and then score some cymbals.

Brand new PS3 RB2 bundles on eBay as well, shipped free for 219.99.

As I mentioned a couple of posts back, ToysRUs.com is offering every RB2 and TBRB bundle that they have in stock for $99.99, if you can find one in a store near you (big if, since there aren't any of the 10 shops within 50 miles of me); all include at least one guitar or bass controller, a game disc, a microphone and a drumkit. See these:

    for the PS3 and these:

for the 360. Add a $30 set of cymbals and you've set for $70 less than the $200 Mad Catz pre-order.
