Ah, I meant legally of course. But I can hardly blame them, given that it's their only option for total library consolidation.

Which is the issue. Harmonix doesn't have the rights to export those songs on that console. Has nothing to do with the file of the video behind the chart.

Yup. Its frustrating that they didn't have the foresight to license the Lego songs like they did with Green Day, especially since those games only released about 6 months apart. RB1 I can sort of understand.

And I'm sure that having Tt Games develop LRB didn't have anything to do with potential licensing issues.

You might as well lament a lack of harmonies in LRB since it was released six months apart.

It is impossible to convince wiibaron of anything. He bought a Wii, therefore his purchase decision must be validated to his satisfaction. Period. Reality has nothing to do with it.

Didn't seem to affect the 360 or PS3 versions that were also developed by TT. More than likely HMX hadn't seriously considered Wii exporting at the time but once GH got it done it became clear that they should look into it.

This may possibly be the most relevant response in this thread.
It's spelled "Squier." Stop spelling it like someone who is in training to be a knight.

Anyone who has played any Rock Band game on the Wii should already know that the Wii version is never 100% on par with the other consoles.
Then the price shouldn't be 100% on par with the other consoles! And anyone thinking of buying the game wouldn't go to 'support' to help with a problem that they don't have[yet]. Try this= Click games and RB3 and see what is says. Then click buy for Wii and read what Amazons' description says. You'll see the problem. And I bought my Wii day 1, before there was a RB or GH.

I really wish this happens. There are so many of us in the wii community who would really love to have these exports. And also, it would be nice to get the Rock Band Blitz setlist too.

XBox360, a gaming console that can double as a home entertainment hub. Full fledged computer.
PS3, a home entertainment hub, that can double as a gaming console. Full fledged computer.
Wii, a casual/family gaming console built to the specs of last gen hardware.

That is not a knock on any of the units, just stating the facts of what makes them different. The big issue with the wii is that isn't a computer deigned to be a game console, its a gaming console. It doesn't do all the things that the other 2 can do. Doesn't mean its bad, its really good. The Wii has done well enough that PS3 and X360 went out to make their own versions of motion control.

To my knowledge, there is only 1 game ever to be patched on a Wii. There is only 4 games ever to import on the Wii. Up until the last couple of years, all EA sports titles were All play versions, not the same as full fledged port. RB3 does import, does have over a 1000 songs. The platform does have over 2000 songs. The platform does have DLC every week non stop since Nov 07. Doesn't mean the Wii will have all of that. I hope one day the Wii could do everything the other two can, but it was built for another crowd. It still plays the game and the songs you bought, it still can have a fun rock band party. Just not getting everything due to intentional design issues.
We need the Kings of Rock in this game. Run DMC!

How is the 360 a full-fledged computer when it doesn't have...what's the word...a WEB BROWSER?
