DLC = downloadable content, the additional songs you can purchase that don't come on the disc.

The RBN (Rock Band Network) is 3rd-party created songs by either the bands/music labels that own the songs, or companies hired by the bands/music labels to do so. This is the part that is being "taken away" from the Wii, since it wasn't financially viable for Harmonix to continue spending money and time making them available to the Wii users as hardly any purchases were being made.

Regular DLC made by Harmonix will continue to be released for the Wii.

If you wish to request songs, you can go to www.rockband.com/request or the Ultimate Setlist section of the forums.

But it sounds like a business decision based on the lack of sales rather than a technical issue since, as we saw, the Wii was able to get RBN tracks. Maybe it cost more per track to get them ported and available for download to the Wii than it did to the PS3, but it's about sales, not technology.

You are one hardcore RBN fan. Out of the total 159 songs available on Wii, I was only happy enough to buy 20 of them. I don't like having too much unknown songs in my collection, the hit music is where it's at mainly for me.

Instead we were deluged with christian rock, christian metal and occasionally just plain Metal.
I know about the Christian metal, but a deluge of Christian rock? If someone can point me to said deluge, I have some tracks I'd like to download.

Yep, seeing as the old xbox and Wii have similar CPU power and the old xbox played DVD's fine, the Wii could too. If it featured a DVD drive.
