Having a bit of a hard time getting it looked at, but it's still coming and I'm going to try and get it out as soon as I can. I just want to get some good feedback on the drums before I put it back in review because it's filled with a lot of subtle ghost snares.

I sincerely apologize to everyone for the mix issue that caused the previous version of Gemini to be taken down and for any inconvenience that it caused. The two songs will no longer be delayed to release together.

Is it possible for those (like myself) who bought the first version of Gemini to download the new version without having to buy the song again? (Or get a refund on the first one?)

    Thanks.

I'm sorry to say that I can't do that. I don't have any MSP codes at the moment, and even then I don't have a way of verifying purchases.

Pulls are rare, but downloading a song before its release is always at the purchaser's own risk. I'm sorry that you ended up with the first version, and I'm sorry that I don't have any way of making it up to you.

That's contrary to what you said to me back when I first bought it:

Once it's up on Live marketplace, you don't really expect a risk in buying it. Perhaps those frequenting this forum know to buy only from the in-game store, but it's not obvious from Live marketplace new releases.

Whoops, I set my self up for a problem when I said that. I'll make an exception for you so I can honor my word, but the reality is that it's not feasible for me to refund everyone. It may not be soon, but I'll do my best to find a way to get you your code. I'm sorry to everyone else who purchased it early.

And again, just because it shows up on the website does not make it official. That's an automatic process that goes through even if you pulled the song before it got to the website. Purchase things from the website at your own risk and use the in-game store to be safe.

Just wanted to make an update and say that "Gemini" releases on PSN this coming Tuesday.

Still trying to get the last couple of reviews on "Bottle Rocket", but I will do my best to get that taken care of as soon as I can.

EDIT: Also, it seems someone was awesome enough to post a Blitz video of Gemini

"Bottle Rocket" released today! You can see a preview here.

As far as the rest of my stuff goes, you may or not hear from me for a while. I'm still going to be working on individual parts for other authors like I have, but my personal release schedule isn't entirely firm right now.

    As it stands:
Radio Song has been finished for a while. I was waiting for the whole Tetris issue to get worked out so I would have multiple songs to justify the cost of a re-subscription, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that. I'm trying to manage a proxy release, but I'm having trouble getting back to the artist for consent.
Sunny Side Up thought a few of their songs were kinda sloppy and went back to the studio to clean them up. Not entirely sure what the ETA on those stems will be.
Lastly, I've been working on a really cool set of insane songs for a while. I believe I'd be the second to bring the particular genre to the network. Anyways, not sure on when you might get to hear about that, as liscencing can be equally insane.

So that's that if you don't hear from me for a while. XBox players, I hope you enjoy Bottle Rocket, and PS3 players, I hope you enjoy Gemini.

Well, it looks like this is the end.

By the time I could sort out the delays mentioned earlier, I don't think the possible gain could outweigh the cost of a XNA re-subscription.

I'd like to thank all of you for the support and constructive criticism over the years. I know I slipped up a lot along the way, but I thank you for staying with me. Just being able to be a part of this whole thing and have songs in the library was a great experience.

Since I was hinting at it so long, I might as well reveal my project I was working on.
The "insane vocal charts" I had mentioned and screenshoted were songs from Spiralmouth from the "Crash Twinsanity"

"N. Sanity Island", "Humiliskate", and "Rockslide Rumble"

It was going to be a long ordeal to solidify the details on it, so I feel reasonably sure it won't happen. I nearly finished transcription for Rockslide Rumble, so maybe I'll post a video sometime.

Again, thanks to all the fans and Harmonix Music Systems for making everything I released possible.

    -TBass, signing off.
