Also, I hate that Flying Instrument music video with a passion. It looks cheesy as hell and some of the animations are just distracting.

Glad to see another hater of the Flying Guitars Crap-scape.

I was a little underwhelmed by the venues but I do enjoy the Arenas. The video shoot is fine unless you are doing a large playlist then it gets annoying. I hope they can add choose a venue to a future patch because people seem to really want that feature. I am one of them.

Now try Party Shuffle with All Instruments Mode. Bonus points for getting the Flying Guitars Crap-scape.

My only real problem with the video venues is that the characters half-ass it. They perform the same tired motions as if they were playing at De Magische Charles Dump Ocho, and they don't even apply neat effects to the characters like they used to in RB2. All they need to do is make a new set of character animations for video venues only.

The backgrounds, other than the Flying Guitars Crap-scape, are really not too bad.

Picked the arena in the poll, but I like all the venues to varying degrees, (Except the video shoots).
I find it really depends on the song. I cringe if I'm playing a Boston song anywhere other than an arena or theatre size venue, however more than happy with the smaller venues for 'grittier' or more intimate songs.

For video shoots, I actually don't mind the acid trip one. It fits better than some of the others.

I just played De-Luxe and got the psychedelic lava lamp video shoot, and it was a little darker to fit the song really well. You have a point. Try to name a song where the Flying Guitars Crap-scape would fit.

I'm cool with dive bars. Keeps the band from getting too big for their briches...keeps 'em honest.
Besides, the fans love it.

Yeah, at least 504 Cypress (the guy's basement) and Heebie Jeebie's are great venues. Cheap Shot Records is also pretty good for a dive-sized venue, I can just say they were signing copies of their albums there, and Sweaty's BBQ (the tent) fits blues, country, and Southern rock pretty well.

But much more often, I'm sent to the charles dump, de magische dump, or el dumpo ocho.

I prefer the arenas, but it really depends on the song.

Example: I'll play a Metallica song at an arena, but not a Hautewerk song.

Also, I would tolerate video shoots if they were less frequent, but since HMX made video shoots free-for-all songs, it just ruined the effect

My favorite is any that is not the music video stages.

Seriously, my favorite is probably the one where you are inside the giant clock tower I guess. But I'll take anything over those music video stages.

I really like the arenas, also most of the larger stages (my favorite from RB2 isn't here though). I usually dislike the dive bar ones.. except the cafe one with the window in the background. Think it was Alice's Cafe.

Since my greatest complaint about the videos was fixed with the latest update (easier to see highway), I have no real hate against the music video backgrounds now.

I prefer the arena venue, works for most songs well.
Out of the "dive bars" cheap shot records is best, but I think it should be a little bigger.

To be honest, I've felt a lot more detached from any particular venue since you can't manually select them in quickplay.

If I had to though, I'd say Arena is the most fun now that I can appreciate the fact that it doesn't make my xbox randomly blow up.
