    Plutarch's RB4 Setlist

98 songs, with YouTube links, sorted by decade, and tiered as follows:
    Guitar: X/6 Bass: X/6 Drums: X/6 Keys: X/6 Vocals: X/6

All tiers are meant for standard mode, not pro. On that note, I have a lot more sympathy for HMX when they tier everything while also trying to keep the tiers organized! A few other points about this setlist:

-I tried to strike a balance between commercially viable songs and my personal preferences. A lot of well-known hits here, but this is still a very Plutarch setlist.

-I avoided all the bands that are most notoriously difficult to license: No Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Tool, etc. I would love to see all those bands in RB one day, but I figured I would challenge myself to put together a good setlist without them.

-I gotta thank my compatriots in the Community Rock Band 4 votes for introducing me to some of these gems. Without further ado, the setlist.

I love most of it, which is more than I can say about most ultimate setlists and actual game setlists.

I also appreciate that the Muse song wasn't Knights of Cydonia.

And Sonata Arctica + Nightwish is win as always.
Sonata Arctica is in Rock Band. This is officially the greatest thing ever.

A few odd choices (the 2007 version of A Tout Le Monde, Moonlight Drive, Paschendale, etc.) and missing a few too many songs I'd really wanna see on the next set, but I'd definitely buy it! Awesome work!
8/9/11 (Def Leppard) will be marked as the best day in RB history for me. HMX, major thanks for all this amazing DLC you put out!

Well, they certainly weren't obvious choices. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of Paschendale.

Pretty good setlist overall. But no Metallica or Dream Theater... That makes me a sad panda...
Earlier drafts of this had "Fade to Black," but then I heard about how Battery wasn't going to export from RB2 and I was like "Two in a row? Forget this. I don't want to put songs on here that I won't even have when the hypothetical next game comes out!" Dream Theater I just don't know well enough.

I also appreciate that the Muse song wasn't Knights of Cydonia.

And Sonata Arctica + Nightwish is win as always.
Figured you would enjoy it, my New England Power Metal brother. But yeah, I was getting sick of Knights of Cydonia showing up everywhere too.

A few odd choices (the 2007 version of A Tout Le Monde, Moonlight Drive, Paschendale, etc.) and missing a few too many songs I'd really wanna see on the next set, but I'd definitely buy it! Awesome work!
The newer A Tout Le Monde was chosen because I felt that the presence of two singers (Mustaine and Cristina Scabbia) would lead to an awesome song for harmonies. The original has to be given its due, but I thought this one was better for playability reasons.

Moonlight Drive is a little out there, I guess....but then again, most of the major Doors songs were taken care of in the 12 pack!

I love Paschendale. It's my 2nd favorite Maiden song ever...(Hallowed Be Thy Name is 1st). I find it incredibly moving in addition to being epic metal.

    1. Might I suggest Waiting for the Sun? By far my favorite Doors jam.
    2. I'd rather see something along the lines of Seventh Son of a Seventh Son if we're talking Iron Maiden "epics".
8/9/11 (Def Leppard) will be marked as the best day in RB history for me. HMX, major thanks for all this amazing DLC you put out!
