Do you think that there will be anything new on TB:RB?

Well, the title says it all. Do you think there will be anything new on The Beatles: Rock Band ever and that might mean new dlc, an export, a sequel to this game, pro update or maybe something else. Or do you think this game is finished, nothing to come? I just want to see what you guys think.

Personally I (sadly) think that there won't be anything new for this game ever, the last news on this game was like the Rubber Soul dlc and that was back in December '09, after that we've only got quotes from HMX people saying like: Not at this moment, maybe and so on... I'm sure that HMX wants to get this game able to export and that might also mean new dlc but I can't see that happening since Apple Corps is so overprotective to The Beatles' legacy.
So I don't think there will be anything new. But I do hope that there will be anything new for this fantastic game.

I think it's dead in the water. The fact that you can get the whole set for dirt cheap, plus seeing the game alone being sold in the clearance bins at my local Target for $14.97 pretty much says it all. It didn't sell like HMX hoped it would, and what is available has become overstock.

Still, it got me into the whole RB game as I was able to pick up the whole shebang for 74 bucks new last September. I really love the RB games as a whole - something I thought I wouldn't be into when the game first came out (and also due to my not enjoying the GH franchise in the past), and have since purchased the RB, RB2, RB3, LEGO, Green Day, and AC/DC add-ons/games and have bought plenty of DLC. So if TB:RB acts the same way it did for other gamers the way it did for me, it's at least getting people to enjoy the whole RB franchise.

I would love to see more DLC for the game, but I honestly don't think it's coming. It's just a shame Apple Corps had to be such sticklers with the encoding processes, else I think we would have had a lot more by now.

I think that there will be something eventually.

Whether it happens tomorrow, or in 20 years, I don't give up hope until HMX makes a formal announcement.

I wish but don't see anything in the near future. It's too bad too. I say forget the dreamscapes and just set everyone up with an export code to keep the Beatles alive in RB3.
It's only oversaturation if you have to switch discs.

It would be great if they offered more DLC like songs like 'Hey Jude'

There has to be someway to work out a deal with Apple Corps to get the boys into RB3. I would pay the full $60 over again to be able to export the songs into my RB3 library.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if there were any new Beatles news at this point, but I'm not betting on it.
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.

Of course, the more complicated procedure for getting new Beatles songs compared to other artists in RB isn't doing itself any favors. But I still think they'd be crazy not to give us anymore... even if it's just one final 'greatest hits' package. Until HMX officially comes out and says they're done with TB:RB, I'll keep carrying the torch.

I'm still against exporting to RB3, though. I simply do NOT want to see The Beatles alongside crap like Primus and Avenged Sevenfold... or see "I Feel Fine" played by a guy in a deer hat with a skull guitar.

I agree with your last statement. Either make more content for the game as it is or let it be, to coin a phrase NOT. lol I don't want to see Lego people, unless Beatles Lego people, dressed in Sgt Pepper gear, playing the Beatles.

I think the cost of separating the tracks (although much of this was done by Giles Martin already for LOVE, is prohibitive. They also won't let high resolution recordings out of the vaults (although with EMI selling, who knows who gets their paws on them?) which adds to the costs. Even Giles had to keep much of what he worked on within the walls of EMI Abbey Road Studios.

I wouldn't mind if they would sell a Fender Strat (I think they do) that works with TB:RB so I can paint it to look like "Rocky", George's psychedelic guitar from Mystery Tour era. That would be fun to have! Maybe even a skin for it to look like it?

Many here reference the low selling price of the game. Most games over a year old are considered in gaming terms old and in the overstock bins. That's when I buy most of them. lol Also, the price of the hardware for Wii is NOT discounted anywhere. Only the two other platforms have heavy discounts on their hardware for it. I'm tempted to buy a PS3 set in case I ever buy a PS3. lol

Overall, I think we are going to have to stay happy with what's out there. I did my part and purchased every song/album on the day of release to encourage the sales. I knew I would eventually anyway but initial sales was what I hoped would spike and show interest.

Yeah, I agree, but there's a difference between, say, what Target and others usually do with overstock and have like a few copies left or half a case of something or whatnot and put that on clearance versus what is going on here with TB:RB and virtually everyone selling the sets and/or game at extremely low prices. It's almost like they still can't get rid of the things no matter how low they mark the stuff.

Don't know why the Wii stuff doesn't get treated the same way as far as markdowns go.

I, too, bought all the DLC that was available and hoped there would have been more. As far as exporting goes, I have nothing against that. I personally wouldn't have anything against seeing the RB3 characters "performing" the songs, as it's not like you get avatars of the real artists playing any of the other tunes. I wouldn't pay 60 bucks all over for it, though.
